Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Nick WTell City, IN724 contributionsOur family (sons are 10 and 7) enjoyed this exhibit. We got tickets online and went at 11 AM, when they opened. There was a short line to get in and the. Through to the actual exhibits. I had read the books and the rest of our family had seen the movies and enjoyed them, so the exhibit was great. The interactivity was fun and enjoyable. Cost was comparable to other similar events. We do not need to do this event again, but the experience this time was great.Written 19 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SteveOSNew York City, NY79 contributionsShow is great as always, but at box office, our “digital” promotions from LIRR were not acceptable and printed copy was needed beware!Written 2 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - loonietunes123Manchester, UK139 contributionsThis is a lovely free activity to do in the evening just book in advance. Our tickets were at 10pm and it only took 30 minutes. Toilets are on site and it feels very safe in the exhibitWritten 25 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - djaungst66Philadelphia, PA588 contributionsWhile the exhibit was a good oversight of the tragic sinking of the Titanic, the exhibit lacked authenticity as majority of artifacts were from other ships within the White Star Line. Having seen "The Titanic Artifact Exhibit – Showcasing more than 300 Legendary Artifacts" at the Franklin Institute (Philadelphia) in 2012, perhaps my expectations were too steep. Staff were kind and provided assistance when asked, but felt overall exhibit a little lackluster.Written 19 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dawn LNew York City, NY20 contributionsI came with my boyfriend and his parents. We were really excited to come but weren’t really sure what to expect. To say the least, it was disappointing.
Pros
Short line to get in even though we arrived at 5:30pm. It was a bit crowded but it wasn’t too bad. The light displays and animations were very well put together. Clearly, they put a lot of time and effort into creating this. No complaints whatsoever. There were plenty of port a potties but only one working sink. Food vendors were all local. There were American food, Spanish (empanadas), bubble tea, donuts, t-swirl crepes, ceviche, Cambodian, baos, Italian, and a cocktail bar. Prices were also decent and didn’t have to fight anyone for a table (all standing).
Cons
Parking is difficult. It was also expensive to park in the lot, Trains weren’t any better. The 7 train is horrendous no matter what time of day it is. The ball pit was cute but wow was there a long line (kids only). There were two interactive displays. One was a seesaw and a set of swings but long line. The other one was riding cars that looked like dinosaurs. Kids were just riding around in the parking lot, no boundaries, right by the exit where people were leaving.
I am giving this event 3 stars ultimately because it was a very poor representation of the Chinese culture. All the tents had little vendors with Chinese writing, Chinese ornaments, and that was really it. The only thing that was really cool was the candied strawberries. The entertainment was disgusting. Again, a grossly inaccurate representation of the Chinese culture and how we celebrate Chinese New Year. The music was uncensored (American racial slurs, profanity). Teenage girls scantly dressed and dancing way inappropriately for a family event. Don’t waste your money. There is a way to represent Asian culture without degrading oneself and the culture.Written 11 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s just moving images of his paintings illuminated on a wall. There’s two large rooms that display about an hour of his work. I was a little disappointed. The gift shop display was just as big as the film rooms. You get free posters and they offer a cushion if you wish to sit on the floor-seating is very limited.Written 27 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mariedesjardinsPrince George, Canada7,312 contributionsI enjoyed checking out this unique exhibit while visiting New York in August. It was very fun, colourful, and innovative. The high-flying exhibit is suitable for visitors of all ages.Written 14 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NYCYoungGranNew York City, NY24 contributionsTwice a year (usually in May and July), the sunset is exactly aligned with Manhattan’s street grid. This amazing sunset was coined, “Manhattanhedge” by the astrophysicist and director of the Hayden Planetarium (at the Museum of Natural History), Neil deGrasse Tyson. The best views are at the widest cross streets. (14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd and 59th Streets). However viewers can only safely stand in the street at 14th Street and Ave C (because 14th Street between Avenues C and D is blocked by Con Edison.) Thus, if weather is good (not cloudy or raining), viewers can photograph an amazing sunset from the furthest eastern point. (14th Street is the longest of all cross (east-west) Manhattan streets. Pay attention to the news to find out the exact time. Arrive early to get your viewing spot. Please don’t tell anyone a locale gave you this tip!Written 9 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elena P1 contributionThis is awful! The ice is terrible and the place does not look anything like the pictures. The only good thing is the view. Save ur money and go to Brookfield place, Bryan Park or wherever else. Not here. This is a ripoff.Written 24 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
