It was a definite highlight of our trip to NYC and my kids ( ages 14, 12, and 9) are still talking about all the things they learned ! Rayn is so kind and patient and has a wonderful sense of humor. - David R3 contributionsThis tour is simply amazing, an experience of a lifetime. Rayn is super nice and knowledgeable, literally knows everything about the NYC subway system. He told us lots of interesting and cool information about the system, how things work, revealed several hidden spots, and details we would not have noticed. He is genuinely kind, helpful with a good sense of humour, so these two hours flew by quickly. - David R3 contributionsRayn was a wonderful host on these tours. You can tell the passion he has with the history of the subway. My son and I had the best time learning so much and seeing some of the cool abandoned stations. He also had a thoughtful touch of speaker and headsets to hear him better amongst the noise. This was so helpful for someone like myself who is hard of hearing. Lukus Herbert as our tour guide was well informed, flexible and continually accommodating in helping us with the planning and execution of the trip. His recommended "Ride with GPS" navigation system allowed us to enjoy the sights without being preoccupied with a map. His hotel recommendations were good and he conveniently provided our rented bikes in route and picked them up as we returned. His being available daily to answer question we very helpful. - micbamCalgary, Canada1 contributionAs a professional mosaicist, taking this tour with Cathleen had been on my list for a long time and she did not disappoint! Cathleen's knowledge, enthusiasm and organization of our full day tour was beyond my expectations, she shared so many insider stories and history, not only about the mosaics but NYC in general.
My partner, who is not particularly 'artsy' also attended, and he was blown away by how much he enjoyed the experience, despite not having any background in mosaics. Cathleens down to earth approach, her shining personality and insights really changed his perspective - he said he will never look at a subway or mosaic the same way again!
