Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Kevin BMount Juliet, TN3,939 contributionsOther Half is one of my favorite breweries and we've gotten to come here on both of our recent trips to the city. It's in a great location right near Rockefeller Center and it hasn't been super busy on both times we've visit (June and early January). Service has been great and the bartenders are very knowledgable about the beer. The beer is fantastic and they really make some of the best beer around. It's so good that each time I've gotten a bunch of 4-packs to lug around the city and bring home. They also have good cocktails and my wife really liked her apricot old fashioned on our last trip. It's a great taproom overall and one that we would definitely visit again!Written 26 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HanKellyBowling Green, KY4,508 contributionsWe enjoyed our different bar vibe here as we could get a drink and talk quietly. It wasn't busy so we got to chat with the bartender as he put on a monk robe and got into character. We liked the different vibe and the sours were delicious. Good break from our kids and felt great to have someone else shuuuush when it got too loud.Written 24 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TravelingSoccerLoonSaint Paul, MN5,970 contributionsLocated in the heart of the East Village, terrific local brewery serving up a nice selection of beers on tap. Loud and fun atmosphere inside even on the weekday night we visited.Written 7 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Max P9 contributionsWe initially had no intentions of going to a comedy club, but when the dude out the front offered us the tickets for $10 we thought why not.
We were so glad we rolled the dice because the Grisly Pear did not disappoint. So much so, that it was our favourite night out in NYC on our short trip.
The Comics were fantastic, the venue was great & the staff were even better, 12 AUG 24. We were visiting the States & were made to feel right at home, our glasses were never empty. We’ll be back again next time!Written 16 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
