We were in a car accident on our way to Ace and were unable to keep our reservation since we needed to use that time to go get a rental car. The staff were amazing at rescheduling and even offering us a ride to the rental car company. The next day we returned for our rescheduled time and everyone showed concern about our situation. The rafting guide, Tug, was very knowledgeable, funny, and entertaining the entire time. He was such a genuinely interesting person; we felt we learned as much about the folks who live there as we did about the environs. Back "at the ranch", we felt the hospitality often attributed to West Virginians. Susan was such an awesome guide. Her 30+ years of experience really showed. I highly recommend her as your guide. She knew where to put the raft, catch the hydraulics and "surf". She is very knowledgeable about the area as well.
Ok, so I almost fell off the raft not even 500' from launching. After that, I noticed that she would occasionally have to grab my personal flotation device (not a life jacket) to keep me inside the raft. LOL
There were a couple spots where we could jump into the river in between rapids, but beware, getting back on the raft is a little challenging, but worth it.
Lunch was good. Plenty to eat.
I would recommend ACE Adventures and definitely Susan as your guide. I'm certain the other guides are capable as well.

We did the family tour as our kids were with us but even us adults had a blast. There were others in our group that didn't even have kids with them. Dalton made it fun for the kids during the slower parts of the river by letting them swim, have ducky wars and even doing "rodeo" with them on the raft. - Katie SEvansville, IN87 contributionsWe had so much fun playing for the day. We were first in line when they opened and it took a little time for them to find our waivers we had filled out online. The line after us got a bit long. Not sure if there is a way to streamline the process but wasn't bad. Once in we had a blast. We were there on a Saturday in the summer and I thought it would be crazy crowded but it wasn't. The kids had a blast and the adults were reminded we need to workout more. We didn't eat there but the food from the restaurant looked amazing. There were lots of chairs available all around the lake. Bathrooms and changing rooms where large.
