It was a beautiful sunny day and this area was a great place to walk around. There are one or two empty shops among the stores but more than enough variety to please the shopper or the looker. Parking is free but remember the walking is up and down hills. Some of the shops were really great such as the book shop and a couple of the craft shops. The building themselves have been well restored and looked after and there are plenty of places to sit and just watch the world go by. If you need something to slake the thirst there are plenty of those places as well.

beautiful vistas with some charming little restraunts along the way. Don't miss the pulloffs onthe south (west) side of the road with amazing water views. Larabee State park is also along this drive. Southern end will put you in Skagit county with La Conner and Anacortes within easy reach

We love Nooksack Falls. Anytime we have out of state guests, we always make it mandatory to take them here. Mother Nature and her beauty cannot be described.

Such a beautiful lake, and no motorboats are allowed so it stays relatively quiet during much of the year...until its swimming season and everyone comes here to cool off.

Nice little camp ground and recreational sites. If you like trains one comes through on tracks nearby. Trail to beaches on the Puget Sound. Wetlands. And a wonderful driver back to Bellingham up Chuckanut Dr.

Beautiful flowers, produce, food vendors and even musicians. Jewelry and textile artisans as well. Many of the vendors also have brick and mortar locations. Great way to spend a Saturday morning/afternoon.

We enjoyed an hours stroll around the park. I sure so surprised that we could come see the sculptures for free, and in such a lovely forest setting. I recommend a visit.

I'm so glad I read about this place on TripAdvisor. It is off the beaten path and oh so worth the visit. Locally owned and operated by an older couple. The husband shared quite a bit about the history of these gardens and his efforts to grow them. It's so peaceful and certainly worth the visit.

Easy access. I’ve been here in the winter spring and summer. All 3 times were fantastic. I’m not an expert hiker and I had an excellent time. Such stunning views. If you have the right boots or sandals (for me anything with Vibram technology) you will be able go far on this trail. It was iced over in December so we needed spike traction cleats for our shoes. If you are new to hiking this is an excellent place to start.
