WOW!! How beautiful is Seppeltsfield Estate. My husband and I only had coffee at Octeine which is their onsite small cafe at the entrance (could be so much better) but we also came to have a stroll around the estate. They have an onsite restaurant Fino which looked amazing and also the cellar door.

Onsite is a very tasteful shop Vasse Virgin, which is a natural olive oil producer. I spent so much time here sampling their products. The displays and decor are excellent along with the customer service. The stop here is a must when visiting the estate.

I just have to share that my partner, Paul and I had the best wine tasting experience ever!

We were booked into Hentley Farm today, Monday, for a late morning wine tasting. The wine tasting was presented in their charming 1840 heritage cottage, in itself such a treat! We already knew that Hentley Farm produces top quality and award winning wines and we were not disappointed with our tastings of 5 different wines each. I’m not a red wine drinker so I chose 4 whites and a rose whilst Paul very much enjoyed 5 reds. In addition, we were offered a sparkling wine and 3 complementary food tastings to accompany our wine selections. All this presented by our lovely wine stewardess, Eleanor. Eleanor knew her wines and the Barossa Valley region! This all just made our day! Thankyou Eleanor and Hentley Farm!

My top pick for Barossa. Never have I found a place that is so beautiful to taste, staff (Val and Julie) were so pleasant and fun to talk to, and we loved every single wine. Price point is laughably low for the incredibly high quality of wine. We had such a great time visiting here and chatting with the staff, drinking wine, and bought as much as our suit cases could handle. Will come here every time we are in the area!

Absolutely loved popping in to Greenock Creek Cellar Door.
A cosy, warm relaxed environment with a vivacious & interesting host.
Beautiful wines … especially compared to some of the ‘big players’ in the Barossa region.
For an authentic, unpretentious & warm experience, with nice wines I would highly recommend Greenock Creek Wines.

We contacted Amanda at Gardner Knives to find out the opening times so we could visit on Friday. To cut a long story short, we tried to visit years ago and a note was on the door that Barry was sick! That couldn't be helped! Yes we were disappointed but we knew we could come back. Well we finally got to have a look around and watched some people making their own knives. Barry came over to chat about the process involved to make a knife. Many hours are involved to get it to a usable stage. The knives on display were beautiful and I loved the different handles you can have. Appreciated the experience and the time taken to talk to us.

A visit to the Mausoleum is worthwhile for the history of the Seppelt family as well as the great views and the countryside. This is one of the prettiest parts of the Barossa Valley

Wow, what a find. Not on the tourist trail, we recently stumbled upon Milhinch Wines and their brand Seize the Day whilst touring in the western Barossa. Down a dusty path, next door to Hentley Farm is the delightful Seppeltsfield Cottage and the cellar door of Seize the Day Wines. Hosts Peter & Sharyn were fabulous as Pete gave us a look around the vineyard that he started himself back some 17 years ago when he planted 5 acres of Cabernet and the same of Shiraz. Producing now a beautiful fresh Rose made unusually from 100% Cabernet , this is their bread and butter wine and a great Rose. We also purchased some magnificent Cabernet which I personally love out of the Barossa, particularly from this corner around the Marananga area. The Shiraz is a big brooding beast of a thing, but their bargain wine is Australia's favorite blend Shiraz Cabernet- I did grab a case of this. These wines will reward patient cellaring and will go on for years as they are all perfectly sealed under screw cap- no fear of cork taint, that is still the scourge of Europe. Make sure you give them a ring as they are "by appointment", but there aren't many better ways to spend a beautiful spring afternoon than with Peter & Sharyn in their beautiful gardens, sipping some Rose and watching their geese waddling through the garden. Thanks guys!

Some great quality craft items for sale. We bought some ear rings from Sue Garrard who explained how she makes them and uses recycled materials. Coffee and toilets on site.
This is in the Seppeltsfield Vineyard complex. Not well signposted from the road. Amazing experience driving up the avenue of palm trees to the vineyard.

What beautiful products they had here. I just loved them! We tasted a few things and smelt some beautiful soaps and hand creams etc. I brought a ginger and coriander dressing and some Bushtucker Dukkah to try again at home because it was soooo good. Everything was good really! Staff were very friendly and helpful too. I will definitely visit again and may get a chance to try a day course.
