Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Cate06Sydney, Australia364 contributionsLovely winery with beautiful gardens and a nice outside courtyard to sit and wine taste and enjoy a well stocked charcuterie board. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Wines were nice but not outstanding.Written 5 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Darren RConnecticut372 contributionsWe've done a bunch of other winery tours and tastings. Because of Margan's innovative organic farming methods that cover a lot more than growing grapes, Margan's tour was new and interesting to us. Steven made it fun too (as did the tastings along the way!). Lunch afterwards was truly excellent. It made for a much better day than running from one winery to the next.Written 26 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ben RGreater Sydney, Australia45 contributionsWe booked a Portugese wines and chocolate tasting at whispering Brook, it sounded different and frankly we were unfamiliar with portugese styles. What a stroke of luck to find this place ! It was a beautiful sunny winters day so we sat outside to catch some of that sunshine. We started with the Arinto paired with a lemon meringue Cocoa Nib artisan chocolate. Incredible! lemon and apply tones of the wine were lifted by the chocolate and there is such an enjoyable mouthfeel when pairing choolate and wine.
For me the best overall was the next one, the Touriga wine which had me speechless as my eyes rolled back and i sat in silent appreciation. I highly recommend going and seeing Alison who is a warm and welcoming host with enormous passion and knowledge to share.Written 16 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They were sadly sold out of the sparkling when we arrived but the rest of the wines were delicious, and our hostess was charming. We bought a mixed case to take home. Beautiful scenery and buildings also!Written 12 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PhilSydney, Australia7 contributionsThe food was sensational, wines were really nice and service was fantastic. We were served by the vigneron and owner Phil who gave such great service and explained the wine tasting as we went. Don't be put off by the very basic unsignposted carpark. You will walk around the building to a low-key but very nice restaurant with absolutely amazing views and a wonderful experience.Written 17 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Star B2 contributionsThe best Cellar Door experience in this area and possibly further. Fantastic wines, fantastic atmosphere. We visited on our first day in the region and Dave gave us tastings tailored to what we would most enjoy, and no fee, I hasten to add. We tried a few other vineyard tastings where they were $10 minimum pp, and on some occasions had set menus so as predominantly red wine drinkers we were coerced into trying sparklings/whites/rosés that we had no interest in buying. Halfway through our last tasting at a vineyard down the road, we both turned to each other and said “Shall we go back to Running Horse?” … So that’s just what we did and we were greeted again with another tasting and practically a Soirée, where Dave introduced everyone and had remembered so many details about us both and everyone else there. The brilliant service certainly matched the quality of the wines. Would recommend a visit in a heartbeat. Can’t wait to visit again on our next trip. Thank you, Dave. ~ Star and Sam (Music Teacher and Quantum Physicist)Written 13 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Simon BGold Coast, Australia69 contributionsGreat wine. Great service. Definitely worth including in your wine tour. We visited recently as one stop on a wine tour with our group of 8 and enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting while also getting a great rundown the history of the Glenguin Vineyard. They have a great artisan list that clearly had years of experience and passion for great wines put into it. From the Semillon to their Shiraz, there were no disappointments. I happily would visit again.Written 24 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

The tasting paddle gave me plenty of options to try along with the various honey’s afterwards. I learned so much and boy these bees do some work!Written 4 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
