Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Marc G36 contributionsAmazing place where all the staff and animal carers clearly care and love the animals.
Yes it's not the largest zoo but if you listen to the all the talks and go to the feeding times its so worthwhile. We were there for around 3 hours or so but for a family of 4 it was around £54. Note it was a bit cheaper online than on the gate so worth a look.
Its great seeing all the various smaller animals and the owls and monkeys interacting with the keepers. We genuinely thought it was great value for money.
Also the food and drinks were reasonable and tasty at the cafe on site.
Everyone who worked there was so lovely and friendly and engaged with our questions about the animals. We learnt so much!
Would highly recommend to those who love animals but particularly monkeys and owls. We will be coming back again next year.Written 4 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is great for Isle of Wight history
I’d highly recommend it to visitWritten 9 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of interesting things to do - the particular highlights for the kids were Duck Down Village, the Treetop Trail and the Toboggan Run. We didn't spend much time on the Skynets, so the fact that it was included in the price was good (if you go somewhere like Sandham Gardens you'll pay through the nose for that, in return for a session that will last longer than your interest). It was also the only place on the Isle of Wight that we managed to spot red squirrels, and we enjoyed watching the peacocks too.
BUT - and this is a crucial point - our party was two adults, a 5 year old and twin 3 year olds. Our twins were old enough to get a lot out of the attractions, but still young enough that they entered for free. Having paid admission for 3 people, it was worth it. Will it still be worth it when the cost for us is 5 x admission? Sadly not.Written 26 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is dog friendly. The parking says it's paid to park but we didn't see anywhere to pay. They have restrooms being built but not completed. There are portable potties available ar the top in the car park.Written 7 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah HWallington, UK3 contributionsReally enjoyed this place. Took my older two boys. Food was fantastic, game selection was a little intimidating but only because we had no clue what to choose! Servers were very friendly. If we lived here, we’d be back! Top tip… peruse what games they have and try and watch an instruction video before you go if you need to learn the rules!Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RMLhearts26Isle of Wight, UK9 contributionsUnbelievable value for money. Fun at its finest. Such great puzzles and mysteries to solve. Host Alex couldn’t have been kinder or more attentive. Islanders don’t leave the island we have the best escape rooms on the Isle of Wight! Congrats Alex on a truly brilliant venture.Written 7 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Claire SLondon, UK17 contributionsThis was great! The Isle of Wight seems to be a bit lacking in stuff for tweens and teens to do if they are not into water sports so we were so glad we found this. Well organised, cost effective, good natured, and lots of opportunity to shoot each other. It's set in a large woodland with good cover and with bases well enough spaced out for either stalking each other, sniping at a distance, or full on charges. The equipment works well and it's much better than paintball as it doesn't hurt and isn't messy. The adult helpers explain games and health and safety well and join in in a way that makes it fun rather than being over-bearing (which has sometimes been our experience elsewhere).Written 10 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BuddapiesBedfordshire, UK172 contributionsWhen we are on the Island we use the bus service as much as we can, why???? because we have always found it reliable and friendly, have a question if you are not sure the driver is always happy to help. The buses are always clean never seen a problem of rubbish. As I said when we are on the island the bus service will be used.Written 11 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
