Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- boeingAdeBirmingham, UK431 contributionsabout a 30min walk from the train station (flat and do-able on a dry day) otherwise there is a bus.
Overall was disappointed with the shops, a fair few empty units.
food places looked good, La place as ever good food, had meal at Bonton - excellent staff and reasonable price.
Think I prefer Lelystad and the Batavia Stad outlet north of Amsterdam - both easy to reach thou with the excellent transport in the NetherlandsWritten 10 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A pity, because it makes it less attractive to shop in certain parts of the passage.Written 13 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FamilyontheRoadRoosendaal, The Netherlands13 contributionsGreat place for (small) kids and their parents. Big playground, different activities possible and eating is nice and cheap.Written 14 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert ORotterdam, The Netherlands6,574 contributionsThe center of Roosendaal was significantly extended southward with new shopping malls. The older section just called 'markt' with the city hall and St. Janskerk has more character. The old municipal building dates from the 16th century, though got most of its present shape around 1750. It is a charming building and along with the church dominates the square.
Unlike town squares in nearby cities of Breda and Bergen op Zoom there are not many historic houses rounding the market. Most structures are 19th and 20th century. Many have terraces in front of them. In summer the market feels better than during the colder seasons.Written 7 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However, coming from Antwerp this is the first one across the border. Pleasant modern place, though the nearby Passage is more to my liking.
There is a car park with entrance at the Laan van Brabant. Price: 0.90€ per 30 minutes. The main entry to the shopping center is at the other side of the block. Most shops close at 5:30 PM.Written 30 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is not just an information desk, but also a shop where you can buy (detailed) maps and books, even souvenirs.
They distribute a booklet (city guide) Hallo Roosendaal with a small map. It is free of charge.Written 6 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
