Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Edward A1 contributionGreat park honoring those who've served and sacrificed all. The grounds are well kept and the exhibits are superb. Overall it's a nice place to stop.Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- MicheleGarland, TX40 contributionsI love this old cemetery! It was built in the late 1800’s. There is a sign that talks about the history of the cemetery you need to read it’s very interesting.
We went to see the Jesus in cowboy boots!
It’s not well manicured but still very nice. It’s just old.Written 2 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jim T161 contributionsStopped at museum on a Saturday afternoon. Greeters were friendly and there is no charge just voluntary donations. Several exhibits and lots of local history about the fire in Paris. Some military history. Lots of old tools and implements. A log cabin reconstructed.
If you want to read about each exhibit you could spend a couple of hours in the museum.Written 30 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has a lot of information regarding the cultural heritage of the area.
The museum is located in a restored train depot. They even have a working model trainset on display.Written 24 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We saw "The Marvelous Wonderettes" and we'd give the musical a 4 1/2. I only had one negative experience and that's when I was trying to ask someone if we could change seats and one of the ushers said "What's Your Problem?" Not too long after that, another usher offered her help and I appreciated her courtesy and customer service and shared with her that I did. Outside of the one negative experience, everyone else seemed very pleasant.
We would definitely go back again and look forward to seeing another show. We know now the seats aren't very big and my husband would definitely need an aisle seat.
What a pleasant and humorous musical it was, it definitely brought smiles to our faces.
Also, one more side note, when we walked out of the theatre, the City of Paris had the lights on across the street at the park, it was beautiful and an added highlight to the evening.Written 27 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We enjoyed an afternoon of walking the city courthouse block and shopping through the different stores on the square.Written 4 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas SCollege Station, TX101 contributionsThis place is hard to find, but our google map took us right to it. I had to visit since I love history and remembered the movie "Chisum" with John Wayne. I do suggest do not visit it after dark. I wish the city would take it over and take care of it.Written 21 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
