Wineries & Vineyards
Yileena Park is a family owned Cellar Door, Winery and Vineyard located in the beautiful Yarra Valley just one hour drive north east of Melbourne. The vinyard was established in 1998 and comprises 5 acres of Pinot Noir, 5 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and 2.5 acres of Merlot. It is situated on a north facing slope at the base of the Christmas Hills which keep it cool and protected. And the grey loam soil surfaced over a rock studded clay base make it ideal for growing premium wine grapes. The vineyard is pruned to produce between 1-2 tones of fruit per acre which allows the vines the opportunity to completely ripen the fruit. Our watering system is an American Sub-surface drip irrigation type, which delivers the water and organic liquid fertilizer directly to the vine’s roots. It allows for excellent control over our watering which we judiciously monitor. The unique sandstone cellar door at Yileena Park was opened in 2006. It is anchored back into a steep hill to ensure cool cellaring of our premium wines as the ground floor is virtually buried underground. Climb the superbly timber panelled stair case to the warmly inviting tasting room which is swathed in Tasmanian Myrtle and features and open fire place, an ornate Victorian mantle and a beautifully detailed granite bar. French doors open onto an expansive deck affording views over the vineyard and the beautiful Yarra Valley. The deck is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine with a pre-ordered cheese platter. When you visit Cellar Door you must also sample our unique smoked delicacies. These are infused with the smoke from old wine barrels and the combination of wine and oak flavours imparts an amazing flavour that needs to be tasted to be believed. Our smoked products are only available at Cellar Door and include smoked salt, olives, nuts, mustard, olive oil, red wine vinegar and cheeses. With such close proximity to Melbourne this stunning Celar Door, Winery and Vineyard is so accessible. We look forward to seeing you when you are next in the Yarra Valley.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The lady looking after us was very friendly and down to earth. Nothing was too much trouble and she was very knowledgeable about the wines. We will definitely come again. I had never heard of this winery but doing research of wineries in the area I liked the reviews I read of this place💕

Called in to have a coffee at the Nursery. We had such a wonderful coffee and cake and upon talking to the lovely Michelle decided to walk through the gardens. Michelle was so helpful giving map and making note of where seats were for my elderly mother. Gardens were beautiful and so much work involved. Quite a few noticeably burnt from the hot spell Melbourne has recently endured but nevertheless gardens amazing.

This is along the main street, so it's easy to locate... It also has some parking available here. The park is walking distance from cafes in Yarra Glen, so it makes a great place to picnic at...you can buy locally, or bring something with you.

The park has equipment for all age groups and it has some interesting features such as giant dung beetles and other insects. What child and adult would not like to see Jurassic sized bugs in a park?!?!

There is a beautiful stained glass feature here as well...expanses of lawn... shady trees. It's a really beautiful children's park that offers something for every age range.

Easy to park but get there early as the parking quickly fills. A good mix of food and other market items. Plus lots of food to consume whilst there. Could do with more seating.

The wines are amazing and our attendant was very knowledgeable and passionate about his wines. We found him very entertaining and he took his time and did not rush us through the tastings.

What a pleasant surprise! We visited this restaurant for dinner with our friends. First time since new owners took over. Restaurant was not busy but despite the space it was warm and welcoming. Service was amazing and even picked up some awesome tips for forthcoming event at my own place, so grateful that they would share some insider tips.
Menu offered a reasonable selection of dishes that were carefully curated to offer a really enjoyable dining experience at a very reasonable price.
We also enjoyed a glass of their own Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz with our meals which were excellent.
Will definitely be returning here for dinner or weekend lunch for not only the food and wine but the ambience, service and atmosphere

Me and my friend did a tasting here as part of Shedfest.

It's a lovely building on a hill with fantastic views of the area, and the big windows at the front of the venue make sure you can enjoy the view wherever you are seated.

We had five wines and despite not being big red fans, we loved the sparkling tempranillo. Only note was the tasting was a little disjointed and all over the place.

We also enjoyed a cheese platter and were pleased at how generous it was with lots of cheese and biscuits, where as at most places you get tiny slithers and never enough biscuits. We just would have loved a dip or quince paste added, and featuring some more local cheese rather than generic brands like Mersey Valley would be great!

While it has a certain charm, I do think the furniture and decor could use a little updating, but I do love the wine barrels used as some of the tables.

If you would like to go back in time, to see life the way it was in 1800s you should definitely go to visit Gulf Station in Yarra Glen. The tour was run by a very-very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. You even get to see how the house was built as some of the wall were exposed. An amazing experience! The house is full of the items that the family used at that time. We explored the outbuildings as well as getting to feed the horses belonging to the property. It was so good to see the school house that the children of the family attended. This would make a very good educational trip for children of all ages as well as adults.

This was the first stop on our wine tour and was probably my favourite venue. The wine tasting took place on the deck outside with stunning views. The someillier was lovely and friendly but didn't overload with info. I especially enjoyed being able to sit down and enjoy the wines without feeling rushed which was the downside of other venues we visited afterwards

My wife and daughter attended last Sunday for lunch at Zonzo. We didn't do any tastings as we were just there for lunch. There are a few options for dining at Zonzo, we'd opted for the Stables as we hadn't been there before and it sounded like they'd been recently renovated. When we arrived, it was clear they were very busy as the car park was almost full - always a good sign when a restaurant is busy. We'd booked ahead so there were no issues getting a table. The staff, although young, were friendly and efficient. We 3 all had pizzas, I had the pork sausage and spanish onion, my wife had the eggplant pizza and my daughter had one from the kids menu. The pizzas came out quickly and we each had a glass of wine to go with our food. The pizzas were excellent, if a little small and pricey for the size. Our daughter then had ice cream with chocolate sauce for dessert. There were just a couple of minor gripes apart from the value for money aspect. We were seated on a shared table with another couple. No big deal, we were far apart enough not to bother each other but just something I wasn't expecting. It was also rather noisy, with polished concrete floors and big glass windows. The biggest issue for me was the heat. The outside temperature was only 23, but with all the glass, it was like a glasshouse. Very warm, especially with the sun coming through the skylight ceiling. I had to keep my sunglasses on. I can only imagine what it would be like on a 37-40 degree day. There were also a few flies buzzing around that we had to keep shooing.
