Beechworth in general has great museums, and is so much better than Glenrowan which is unfortunately rather tacky.
There are separate guided tours on the Kelly exploits and the gold rush era which along with the Burke Museum bring this period of Australia's history to life.

Great museum, really well set out with very interesting and unusual items, lots of different things for all ages, the Beechworth street set up is fantastic, staff are all very helpful and passionate about the museum.
