Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- DobbieHawkMt Eliza, Australia47 contributionsIt remains the best value hidden gem of the Mornington Peninsula Wineries.
A casual lunch is now available on Wed, Thurs, Fri apart from the Sat and Sunday fixed unbelievable value lunch , We actually like the Wed-Fri addition - it has some great tastes- great for sharing . Then to the chocolate making area - don't miss that...Written 25 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I must say that we found a young lady who sells her own hand, poured candles, and they are absolutely magnificent, and she even kindly gave us a discount because we bought so much. The candles are in the shapes of teddy bears, roses and various other things including, which we bought caramel latte candles in glass and espresso coffee martini candles in Martini glasses and they look like the real thing. She also sells bath salts that she’s made herself and they’re pretty cheap too. The young lady’s business name is Studio Niamh. See the photos. If you are looking for an extremely unique present hunt her out. The goods look and smell beautiful!Written 2 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brad W4 contributionsExcellent lunch. Good food, good wine, helpful friendly staff. Added bonus getting poured wine by the wine maker. We liked all the wines but do yourself a favour - the half acre pinot.Written 19 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rwlidPerth, Australia1,389 contributionsNice winery which is well worth a visit. Excellent wines and friendly cellar door. There is a $20 tasting fee which is unfortunately not redeemable.Written 26 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert PMelbourne, Australia49 contributionsDropped in on way to other restaurant that was booked for lunch. With such a wonderful vista from balcony could have stayed longer. Small range of high quality wines from estate served by very friendly staff and ordered cheese plate to accompany wines. An excellent bonus as wines, cheese, staff and views are top ten.Written 31 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chelsea_Girl33Melbourne, Australia16 contributionsThis is a lovely walk, especially the fern gully. It’s about 10% boardwalk and 90% bush track. Parts of the track are very narrow and a bit overgrown, plus you need to step over a couple of fallen trees. The map makes the route look straightforward, but there’s some side tracks that aren’t on the map. We got lost at one stage but found our way back to the carpark eventually.Written 13 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jagdeesh Singh DRowville, Australia67 contributionsJust got back from an absolutely magical afternoon at Avani Wines, celebrating my wife's birthday.
They were running a pop-up restaurant event with chef Harry Mangat of Biji Dining. Having been spoilt by the quality of Indian food in our native UK, this is the one cuisine that our new home-city of Melbourne hasn't - in our experience to date - nailed. How wonderful to be proven wrong this lunchtime!
We particularly enjoyed the courgette 'bhartha' starter, the king prawns in South Indian spices, the main course of lamb and the innovative strawberry and cream pudding with it's hint of cardamon.
As we had arrived early for our meal, we had time for some wine tasting and loved the aromatic flavours of the Amrit pinot gris, chardonnay and the pinot noir.
The setting for the pop-up restaurant was picture-postcard, with gorgeous view towards the vineyards and the hills.
