Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had intended visiting Mt Hotham for some snow play whilst we were staying in Bright.
Chains must be carried on all mountains during the snow season, so we went to hire chains at our favourite hire shop in Porpunka.
The hire shop advised me that my VW Passat cannot have chains fitted with the profile tyres fitted. VW only endorse chains for 3 tyre configurations on my car. Any damage caused by the chains would therefore not be covered by insurance.
This is a problem on many European cars.
If you plan to go to the snow, check your manufacturers handbook & see if chains are endorsed for your car.
Because this is now a known issue, police are targeting European cars on the mountains.

The cross structured from wood was erected in the 1920's at the highest point ( 1825 metres) on the Great Alpine Road between Wangaratta and Metung on th Gippsland Lakes. The cross was placed at this point near the peak of Mt Hotham when the road was extened to the full 339 KM and became a popular stopping point for people to take photos. It still is.

From beginning to end our alpine dinner tour was magical.

Our tour guide McKenzie was bubbly and clearly very passionate about the mountain, the alpine environment and sharing interesting local stories. The snowshoe from the carpark into the camp site was very quick and easy as the trail was freshly groomed.

On arrival Eline greeted us with mulled wine, a hot spiced apple cider and a big smile, staff clearly love their job!

There was plenty of time before dinner to take in the surroundings and watch the sun sink below the snowy landscape while sipping our drinks. Our group was just as excited to be there as we were, one couple even got engaged which made the night a night of celebration and laughter.

Dinner in the large tipi was intimate & immersive. We could have been anywhere in the world! McKenzie and Eline cleverly walked us through a 3 course French style meal paired with French wines! Heavenly!

My bestie and I loved meeting so many wonderful people, we laughed all night long!

I have already booked to stay overnight next month for my husband's birthday!

Once again all the kids got their gear here for snowboarding and skiing. Nothing’s any trouble and if you have a problem they simply change it.
    The location is also convenient

My partner treated me to a massage here and I was very happy with the service.
I get regular massage at home , so can recommend to book.
Being a resort it is on the pricey side but holidays are meant for relaxing treats.
