Visited at the Eagles Nest tourist area but in hindsight preferred
the more distant perspective as highlighted from lovely Shack bay beach.Written 14 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Tim HMelbourne, Australia244 contributionsThe highlight of the beach is the Driftwood Sculptures about halfway between the township and the Surf Club.Written 10 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- roy vTraralgon, Australia4,087 contributionsRecently we were in Inverloch showing an overseas guest around and walking around town we came to the Jetty.
Nice spot with plenty of parking and toilet facilities.
This jetty would get a lot of use I would think, plenty of boats are launched from here and a good spot to throw in a fishing line
It was lovely standing on the jetty with a nice warm breeze blowing but it would be different on a cold blustery day, need the warm gear thenWritten 12 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Simon BCity of Greater Geelong, Australia2,372 contributionsHaving short visits to all featured stops along coastal drive, this IMHO no.1
Steep, wooden staircase down to bay and beach. A breathtaking scene.
Natural wonder looks like a painting. Rock formations on coast (Eagle Nest to west),
beautiful small bay with quiet waters and rock pools to explore. Kids loved it.
Recommend spending a whole afternoon here.Written 14 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - MackMelbourneMelbourne70 contributionsReally great walk, took about 30 minutes and was really easy and you end up on the beach at the end, definitel worthwhile.Written 30 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

On one visit relating to a family history inquiry at Wonthaggi Cemetery the staff even phoned up the cemetery manager to assist us locate a grave site. It was very appreciated.Written 26 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - C...Seymour, Australia41,354 contributionsSo I am stunned that someone has typed here that there are not many stairs to the beach... the truth is... there are quite a few stairs down to the beach, with handrail! And it's quite a steep descent.
There is a small carpark ... it is not as well set out as other beaches along the way. However , it does provide off the road car parking ... as with all of the other beaches along the Bunurong Coastal Drive. This beach like the others is also impeccably beautiful. This beach is not patrolled... so one has to use common sense here.
The Twin Reefs are two protruding, exposed reefs, in lee of which is a narrow, 500 m long, crenulate platform beach, lying between the base of the vegetated bluffs and the continuous intertidal rock flats.Written 28 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - C...Seymour, Australia41,354 contributionsThis beach is along the Bunurong Coastal Drive. But before I describe this beach... let's start with who the 'Bunurong' are?
The Bunurong aboriginal people were custodians of this stretch of coast for thousands of years prior to white settlement. The Bunurong People are part of the language group known as the Koolin nation. They utilised natural resources including crayfish, shellfish, seal, mutton bird, wattle seed, orchid bulbs, wildlife for meat, furs and leathers. Conflict, together with European diseases, caused rapid decline in the population by the 1840s and the last families left to join other Koolin tribes in the Melbourne area.
And it makes sense that there were custodians along this amazing part of the coastline. The water is stunning, some of the beaches and bays are sheltered... but this beach... this is not as inviting as other beaches along the way. It was the closest stop to Cape Paterson that I stopped at. The car park is minimal... but the scenery as with all the other beaches along the road is truly breathtaking. You will require a level of fitness to get to the beach...but once you are there... you will be stunned by the beauty.
So when I say it's not as inviting... it is beautiful... it simply has less car parking and less signs of anything commercial. So depending on the individual... you might find that more appealing.Written 28 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - EndlessTravelsGreater Melbourne, Australia35,310 contributionsThe Glade is multi use green open space that is great for a bbq. - Leon BMelbourne, Australia165 contributionsThis playground is idealy positioned to make access easy for families with young children. It was well patronised whilst we were staying close by. Plenty of parking is available and some is quite close to some shady treesWritten 17 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
