What travellers are saying
- Sophie PMelbourne, Australia136 contributionsWhat a lovely spot. So many water holes and cascading falls to see. Easy walk in but a bit harder when you get to the rocks to manoeuvre around. Lots of viewing spots.Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mel PCanberra, Australia24 contributionsHad some decadent cocktails for lunch with burger - both of which were wonderful. Eat in the speakeasy bar downstairs which was a great atmosphere. Back upstairs after lunch for some tastings of gin, flavoured vodkas and cordials. We bought lots !Written 14 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- G-TrainMelbourne, Australia12 contributionsHad a wonderful tour of the gaol. - Jen WWollongong, Australia19 contributionsLots of information to read and interesting stories. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Stand in the dock where Ned Kelly stood 7th August 1880. The receptionist who greets you is a lovely friendly lady.Written 7 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- John FLilydale, Australia56 contributionsMoretti presents the wine in a very matter of fact way, educating the guests as part of the whole experience, whilst injecting some of her passion for what are excellent wines. Rob the winemaker made an appearance for our group and added his thoughts from a more technical aspect and this gave the guests on our tour another perspective. The wines are beautifully made and the humble cellar door and garden area are more than adequate for the experience. Best of all we were running terribly late for our tasting experience and we were still welcomed with open arms and taken on an excellent journey. Thanks to all.Written 4 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KarenLW44Geelong, Australia27 contributionsInteresting walks along the circuit or just drive around and enjoy the scenery. Some steep sections if walkingWritten 21 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sandra TSan Remo, Australia51 contributionsThe cemetery is well worth a visit to read some of the history on the old headstones going back to the 1850's. Such a sad and harsh time. Also the Chinese section is very interesting. Be sure to collect a pamphlet at the entrance to help you find graves of interest.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CampafMelbourne, Australia44 contributionsAre here last night. The pizza was great, particularly the garlic one! Also had the salami pizza and duck pizza. We both had the paddle of ten beers which was a great way to trial a few. Nice and warm and open fires in the outside area. Staff were very relaxed and nice.Written 3 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Margaret BColeambally, Australia45 contributionsThis tour is a little out of the ordinary but I would highly rate it. Our guide Laura brought the place alive. Much to reflect on. Be curious enough to leave the shops, coffee & brewery behind & learn about an extraordinary part of history.Written 15 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GetawayMelbourne, Australia3 contributionsGreat first stop when you arrive in beechworth, to collect useful maps and brochures and to book the two guided tours they organize - the Echoes of History tour and the Ned Kelly tour. We took them both and our guide, David, provided us a good overview of the town and its history. The tour are also very good value for money and I recommend visitors to Beechworth to take them both upon arrival and to follow up with individual visits to places and sites afterwards.Written 3 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- EndlessTravelsGreater Melbourne, Australia35,313 contributionsWe have visited Beechworth 3 times and always not bothered visiting this museum. This time we decided to check out due to rainy weather restrictions on what we could do outside. We regret not visiting earlier bcos this is one of the best regional museums I’ve seen. It has a bit of everything from Burke and wills exhibition, war museum section and local history. But the highlight was recreated street scape that has to be seen to appreciate.
Highly recommend this amazing museumWritten 17 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Sandra TSan Remo, Australia51 contributionsLovely walking tracks around the lake and the Chinese Gardens at the spillway end closest to the shopping centre.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 123ChrisTLeeton, New South Wales, Australia14 contributionsA great location with nice gardens and outdoor seating. A bit odd you can’t taste all wines available to purchase. Was a shame as we might of bought more if we could taste them. Delivery offered to those who rode, is a nice touch.Written 4 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
