Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As the area was quite crowded we drove up to the Split Point Lighthouse just checking it out on the outside which we still found quite amazing.

Lovely beach. If you are not a surfer or know anything about rips, DO NOT SWIM HERE. Cool your feet by all means, otherwise stay out of the water. There are patrolled beaches at nearby Anglesea, Pt Roadknight or Fairbanks. Swim between the flags.

My wife and I walked to this place, after visiting the Light House, where we had parked our car. This place is very scenic and is definitely worth visiting.

We could see it from the lookout near the Light House. The walking track itself is interesting.

The tide was out, so we could walk around a large expanse of beach area.

If you are looking for respite from the wind, change of pace form beach... have s picnic here and head off up to a scenic spot looking out over the ocean. Good track for competent walkers but only 2 km up to the view return on a loop.

Or take the nature trail, no more than 2 km You cross bridges over Moggs Creek walking through a valley The creek doesn’t flow in summer, in winter you get more birdsong and the sounds of bubbling brooks

If you want waterfalls, head to Lorne. Seek out the information centre on the left after you cross the bridge going into Lorne

All these walks are great after rain, muddy sometimes but ihhh the Eucalyptus scent

Just love this whole area, take 2-3 days to go down the coast from Geelong/Torquay area. So many great beaches and colourful rock formations, this is one of many great ones.

This quaint little park has a lot to offer the tourist to the Surf Coast area. There are picnic tables and a kids playground. There is also a historical representation of an old colonial era bark hut that provides a glimpse into how the early settlers to the area lived.

As I stopped at the Allen Noble Sanctuary on the way to the lighthouse, this remarkable sculpture sits unnassumingly beside a nice little picnic spot
