Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We thought this was a great way getting around Sydney on an open top bus taking it all in, and listening to the commentary which was interesting and useful. Just found it difficult to spot the stops and waiting in between a bit frustrating. But once on the bus we used a few stops and went to Bondi beach which was lovely. Wish had gone longer than 4 pm which was the last bus time. to use. so could have got more out of it as felt what we paid was too much for the few places. We went. When said could use 24 hours. But all in all enjoyed the experience.

Helen, our guide, was very friendly and accomodating. She beautifully told us the story of Sydney. She is knowledgeable on the history of Australia and is up to date on current events. The tour takes you around the essential spots of Sydney. We got to see the city, the beaches and the suburbs. Great to book at the start of your trip. Will definitely recommend this to family and friends.

Before reviewing the tour, we must address the excellent communication we received in planning our Sydney tours with Julia and Scott. The knowledge they shared with us was always timely and incredibly valuable in helping us determine how we wanted to spend our limited time in Sydney. Their flexibility in constructing a customized and personalized experience for us was greatly appreciated.

On to the tour! Scott arrived on time and eager to start the day. We started our day with some city sightseeing and landed at our first stop near Mrs. Macquarie's Chair. The views back to the Opera House and Bridge are unbelievable. We were fortunate to have great weather and clear skies for the tour, which helped our inferior photo-taking capabilities.
We then moved on to check out Bondi Beach, but on the way, Scott showed us some fantastic places with wonderful backstories, i.e., Harry's Cafe De Wheels. We also worked our way through some of the awesome neighborhoods of Sydney before landing at Bronte Beach for a brief leisurely coastline walk. From there, we went to our final morning stop, Bondi Beach, soaking in the incredible views. We booked a Sydney Opera House tour that afternoon, so Scott dropped us off near the facility. Julia provided us with several dining recommendations for lunch (all of which were GREAT).

We can not stress enough what a wonderful tour this is for anyone seeking to get some city highlights or a specific set of places they want to see. We are confident you will receive superb communication/attention and have a remarkable experience.

Another great experience with RST today! Car+walk in Sydney to Bronte and Bondi Beaches. After a punctual pick up at our hotel, Bianca guided us with plenty of information and gave us a relaxing and wonderful time we won't forget!

The zoo is undergoing a lot of new building construction. Go early or late to avoid the sleeping animals. More likely to be active early or late. Be sure to walk through the aviaries....a great way to see up-close the native birds. There are stairs but nearly always a ramp or an elevator for those who need or want it.

Martin was our very informative guide. He has a broad accent but, we fully understood his instructions and impressive knowledge. The sites we saw were some of the finest to be seen of Sydney. The bus was clean and comfortable.

What a day! Salty Boat Hire have really got the Sydney Harbour experience down pat. Blessed with good weather, Tom, our skipper was a fun, entertaining character who made us feel welcomed, safe but most importantly vamped for a great time!

We were showed all the major spots of the harbour before anchoring up in a quiet bay. The whole boat jumped out and had fun on the lilly pad, whilst good music, good vibes, and great weather accompanied our afternoon.

We were also treated to a smorgasbord, which was prepared fresh by Tom whilst we were out swimming and exploring the bay.

After pulling up anchor we cruised back to the wharf. Honestly one of the best ways to spend my Sunday in Sydney. Will definetly be doing it again!

Our charter was easily the highlight of my friends and I's trip to Sydney. The boat itself offered just the right level of luxury without being too over the top, and the crew were incredibly knowledgeable locals who not only navigated the waters effortlessly, but also gave us insider scoop on the best places to explore in Sydney.

After departing from Rushcutters Bay, we sailed for a few hours before anchoring in a secluded bay. The crew put out a swim mat, charcuterie board, fresh seafood platters, and let us take control of the music.

Also, prior to the trip we'd been nervous about one of our friends having to catch a flight later that evening, but Tommy was incredibly accommodating—he even offered to start the charter earlier to make sure we still got a full experience. The flexibility and personalization offered was something the larger, ticketed cruises around Sydney could never provide. Whether traveling with friends or family, I believe Salty Boat Hire is the best choice. There's simply no better way to spend a sunny day in Sydney!

Naomi completely exceeded our expectations! This was our first time to Sydney, and we saw and learned SO much in 4 hours - incredible sights, history, architecture, and beautiful scenery. Naomi is also an artist, so she offered to take artistic and creative photos of my husband and I at scenic points that were some of the best from our trip! We saw The Rocks, all of Sydney, saw whales jumping at a lookout point, the harbours, she drove by the Wharf where our dinner cruise was going to be the next night, over to Bondi Beach (stunning), and even into a private residential area where the views overlooking the harbour were stunning! She asked lots of questions to find out what we liked and where to focus the tour, and afterward provided a whole list (with links) on all the stuff she talked about that we could explore afterward. Exceptional tour and tour guide - we loved every minute of it!

I rarely leave reviews. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our private tour of Sydney. We could only be in Sydney for one day, so we wanted to see as much as we could, but didn't want to do it in a crowded bus or van. The private car was a large SUV with plenty of room with bottles of water provided. Our guide, Scott, was friendly and knew all the best places to see in Sydney as well as the history of of the city. Scott even took photos at all the key photo spots and sent them to us - better than selfies. The tour was listed as six hours, but it was closer to seven. This is the best way to tour Sydney in one day. I highly recommend it!

Used the Hop on Hop Off Ferry for Two days. In hindsight, for us one would have been enough. We started a Circular Quay then stops to Taronga Zoo, Shark Island (no amenities, bring what you need), Watson Bay and Manly Beach. It was a beautiful 2nd day so we just stayed on the boat for a complete loop. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Safety conscious and clean. Bathrooms aboard if needed. Enjoy!
