The on board narrative and sing along songs were so much fun. We had a full bus and learned so much about the music industry of Memphis

This was one of the best things we did while visiting Graceland. Drew was the best guide! It really made me feel like I was brought back in time. Lived this tour and would have regret it if I didn’t make it here. This is #1 thing to do on top of Graceland.

Great tour of the city of Memphis!! Good variety and interesting stops. But the the best thing of the tour was our tour guide Sam. He was just fantastic. Informative, humorous, charismatic, and just a joy to experience with him. We went to downtown and saw historic sites , Saint Judes history, old homes, where Elvis Presley lived in the projects and hung about . Pro bass store and just so much interesting correlations . . Stop at the Peabody hotel and the ducks and then great stop at the Sun Studios. Then a break for lunch and a pick up to go back to the hotel. His recommendations on lunch and later for a nightclub on Beale Street were spot on.

Excellent experience. Our guide Taylor was exceptional. She has immense knowledge of Memphis, and its food, history & culture. The tour offered a great variety of local cuisines & insight into Beale Street’s rich history. Taylor has a great rapport with the proprietors & staff. That made each of our stops hassle free & enjoyable. Our only regret is that we took the tour on our last day with limited time to return to our favorites.

Although we had to deal with downpours during the walk, Mary and my fellow travelers made the best of it. The pace was perfect, the history interesting, and the stops appropriate.

Very interesting. A lot of history to go with the ghost stories. Grace did a super job with a small group. We really enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

Shannon was an energetic tour guide. It was good to get off the bus and see sights up close. The stop at the BBQ was delicious.

The Memphis Rock n Soul Museum provides comprehensive look at the origins of most American music of the last 80 years.

Not only does the museum set forth the history of southern society after the Civil War, it sets forth the cultural influences that whites and blacks had on each other and provides insights into the daily life of the people.

The museum contains an exhibit showing that, before the TVA, people could enjoy electricity only through machines that could be charged through turning a crank to generate the needed electricity or using a battery. Most companies provided only one battery a year, which, under normal use was consumed within the first 90 days.

The museum shows how white country music and black gospel music and those who performed the music interacted, both before and after World War II. It presents the story of Sun Records, Stax Studio and many other creative incubators and how they developed emerging talent.

There apparently was more interaction between white and black singers and musicians than the public knew. I can only assume that commercial pressure to respond to cultural imperatives dictated the small degree to which the public was allowed to see this.

I also went to Sun Records and Stax Studio. They are both great and are worth your time, as are the B.B. King venues. But this museum ties it all together. It can be done well in 90 minutes, and be a good investment of time.

I wish more emphasis was on the Lorraine Hotel site. The driver just mentioned it as “matter of factly”. With the turbulent time of the 60s and for a person who changed the world that was significant. Also why did you have the place where Dr. King give his last speech?
But all in all I enjoyed it.

Our guide Charlie was very knowledgeable about the history of Beale Street and Memphis in general. He was very entertaining and we enjoyed the tour even though the temp was barely above freezing. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn about the history of Beale Street.

On October 19, 2024, my tour group of 19 and I had the pleasure of experiencing Memphis with a personal tour with ‘A Tour of Possibilities’. Our club sponsors a yearly trip with the purpose of embracing the history and culture of the area visited, ensuring that the location also embodies the African American experience. There is always some level of anxiety when relying on the internet to guide your choices. But in this instance, the positive reputation of ‘A Tour of Possibilities’ rang true. Queen, as she is affectionately and appropriately called, is the awe-inspiring proprietor of ‘A Tour of Possibilities’. She is vibrant, energetic, and knowledgeable. Her passion for history and truth resonates through her every spoken word. She is captivating and affectionate and makes everyone feel valued. She welcomes questions and provides resources for continued exploration. We discovered many legends in Memphis, past and present, and Queen walks alongside such legends. I pray for her continued success in business and in life and that our paths may one day cross again.

This bus tour was so much fun! I really enjoyed that all of the haunted happenings were placed in historical context-- I learned a lot about Memphis! I've been on a lot of ghost tours and this was my first time experiencing a live demonstration of trying to communicate with ghosts. I felt like we were able to see a lot on the bus and I also enjoyed that we got off the bus a few times to walk around. Highly recommend!
