The distillery trip was part of a CAB coach holiday and what a wonderful experience it was.
Our guide at the distillery was very knowledgeable and very passionate about the whole whisky journey including some very interesting facts about the history of the distillery since it was founded. As we went through the distillery looking at the various processes we were never rushed & were encouraged to questions, all of which our guide expertly answered.
When it came to the whisky tasting our guide gave us the history of the Lalique chandeliers. It was interesting how Glenturret & Lalique work together over all things to do with whisky.
The tasting is done using proper whisky glasses which all added to the experience.
Once the tour & the tasting was done there was a shop & cafe to visit.

Amazing place straight from when you enter through the gates! We spent at least 4 hours here so not bad for £2.50 per hour. The steps were OK but we skipped a couple of flights by walking up the paths at the edges of the gardens. There is a disabled carpark with easy access into the gardens if you need this facility.

The map provided gives you details of all the planting in the main garden and also the woodland walk and the pond path. Lots of seats to rest on in all parts of the gardens and we took advantage especially as it was quite warm and sunny when we visited.

If was very dog friendly which is a bonus. Good sniffing around the woodland walk.

The coffee truck was a welcome bonus after the climb back up to the entrance and a great view over the gardens.

Hasn’t heard of this library before seeing it recommended on line. It is a truly amazing hidden gem staffed by knowledgeable enthusiastic human beings. I could not recommend it enough.

Great place for a wee bimble with family and the dogs. Free parking in the middle. It may be on a hill but the café makes it worthwhile. Once across the bridge brings you into dappled light from the trees.

We visited action glen today as a couple after a comfy night in Crieff hydro hotel. We really enjoyed all of the activities including axe throwing, air rifle shooting, archery and aloft high ropes. The vibe was very welcoming to all guests not just those with children.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and patient. Special mention to Laurie who was absolutely fantastic and went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying our experience with him at the air rifles and then the archery. He recognised we had some healthy competition and introduced some fun games for us to play with each other.
Excellent value for money, an amazing venue and fantastic, friendly staff.

I called in here on a solo day trip. I used to visit as a child so it brought back many happy memories. It was a favourite stop when out in my Grandfather's car on a picnic trip.

We visited when our coach operator brought us here. Lovely to look around the well laid out shop. Brought back happy memories when I used to work in a china shop years ago.

This is a lovely walk starting across the road from a car park in Crieff. It was a lovely fresh dry sunny day, the walk is reasonably well signposted and not to difficult.

Got a motorbike? Yes? Then just do these routes.

A friend and I did these in August '24 and on the day we did the "North Loop" the weather was perfect and it's now been added to one of the best days on the bike I've ever had. Small twisty, up-and-down-y single track roads? Check. Big wide open sweepers? Check. Scenery that makes to take a breath? Check. Cracking coffee shops / tea rooms / cafes? Check. Enough petrol stations so you never worry you'll run out? Check. End wanting to do it again? Check. Enough distilleries to buy things to take home? Check.

As we went to Scotland in August, of course we also had rain, but we did the “West Loop” and the rain came and went, but it was still a fanatic day on the bikes.

The GPX download files were as close to perfect as I can imagine anyone doing – yes our units did not announce one turn, but a) I really think that was our GPS's rather than the routes, and b) By the time we realised, we were having so much fun on yet another great road in that area, a quick check of the GPS showed we'd join the original route again soon enough, so stay on the “alternative” route as it became known.

I can thoroughly recommend the Fir Tree B&B in Crieff – could not have been nicer / more helpful, and just nice people.

Kona really does know this area really well, and the routes are all excellent. Thanks Kona!

Went for an early morning jaunt up the hill first time visiting was a deer in the carpark, then I passed a raven eating big beetles off the path, then a number of red squirrels playing around a tree…. It just went on like that all morning felt like I was trapped in a Disney film 🤣 amazing views of surrounding area lots of bird song and wildflowers. Paths are well maintained and relatively easy to walk usually info map of the paths and other things to see

Four of us went one very wet Tuesday for a long lunch- lunch choices included roast cod with green vegetables and a few small potatoes and lamb chops with a Greek style salad and garlic potatoes. Puddings included apple pie, chocolate and marmalade bread and butter pudding and sticky toffee pudding, all delicious and came with a jug of custard. Wine was very reasonably priced and coffee afterwards.
We got a friendly welcome and we would recommend this place - especially on a VERY wet day!
