Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- breeandandrewMt Martha, Australia4 contributionsOne of the best beaches we have ever been too. The sand was bright white & the water was crystal clear. We highly recommend it !Written 19 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- John C3 contributionsNothing disappointing about our visit to Pebbly Beach. A kookaburra welcome on the sign post, a goanna in the car park, then lots of roos, birds and butterflies to enjoy on the track towards Shark Bay. Be mindful that the walk is 2 hours each way but easily followed once you set off. Just follow the signs to the peak and the track splits about half way. Scenery is a bonus.Written 21 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stuart MSydney, Australia67 contributionsOne of the best camping spots in NSW as long as you don’t venture in to town as the crowds are chaotic. Large camp spots. Kangaroos at your door. Plenty of space for the kids to roam and beach access from plenty of areas.Written 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aviation CentralSydney, Australia188 contributionsA very quiet and spacious beach to sunbathe. We came in the arvo and watched the sunset, which was stunning. It is very close to our AirBNB, which made it convenient to travel. The only down side was that there were a few too amny bluebottles, so watch out!Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MarcusactCanberra170 contributionsJervis Bay is a special place and is very popular in summer. However, it is beautiful in winter – empty beaches, white sand, stormy skies and wild life. Dolphins and sting rays in the water, sea eagles in the air, tall gums and much more.
We went to Green Patch, the southern headland and Chinaman's Beach .
You can also go swimming – wet suits recommended.Written 15 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - skymarketerSydney, Australia50 contributionsWe didn't let rain or floods keep us from our Jim Wild oysters. We left the car on high ground, wading through floodwater to pick up 3 doz freshly-shucked Sydney Rocks. Ate 1 doz at a damp picnic spot near Pelican Rocks then drove 1 hr home. Worth it!Written 14 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
