Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great day out. Modern facility with a range a wide range of military aircraft, many in airworthy condition. We were very impressed with the staff who are pleased to help you in any way during your visit and enjoy chatting and helping you get the most from your visit. Super cafe with viewing areas to relax and enjoy the rural airport setting. The facilities and exhibits were immaculate. We will be returning.

Enjoyable few hours spent at Burning Mountain on our recent trip to Scone, Upper Hunter Valley.

Walk is relatively easy, if your fitness level is fairly good. Make sure you have decent walking / hiking / trail runners on your feet.

There are lots of steps on this walk. There are also lots of seats along the path to rest if you need to.

The view at the top is stunning.

Look out for the Wedgetailed Eagles. A joyful sight.

Western foreshore has so many site options for unpowered camping, it was hard to choose. For our 3 night stay (too short) we stayed in our self-contained caravan just down the hill from the kiosk and amenities block near the foreshore. Bonus there are taps everywhere so for fresh water. Lots of walks, birds and wildlife. Dog friendly. Beautiful sunsets.

Visitor Information Centres are always our first stop and are not only a wealth of printed information and great maps but staff are always helpful and friendly.

Scone is no exception - we were well advised of all Scone had to offer by a very knowledgable lady who made brilliant suggestions for us regarding our interests and time available. One of these suggestions was visiting the Washing Pools - an absolute hidden gem we were thrilled to visit and photograph and another was Burning Mountain Walk - another fantastic and interesting experience.

Lovely little park. Almost always stop here. Tourist information, toilets and good spot for kids to have a play on equipment and run around.

This is such a beautiful part of the world. The national park has so much beautiful scenery, even on a cold overcast day. Definitely worth the visit

We went swimming and someone had their kids there. They washed the two little ones nappies in the water, while we were having a dip. My husband wife got out and had a brown surprise in her hair, not very nice. Apparently this happens quite often with other dirty visitors and their kiddies.

We aren't racing or horse people, we stopped in here on the way back to Sydney as we saw there was a race meeting on and thought it was something different to do. Again we have no comparison to make but it is a mighty picturesque setting for a race course. It wasn't a big crowd as it was a Friday, but we spent a couple of very pleasant hours there having a beer, bet and bite to eat. As a country track everything is so close so really enjoyable.
We will probably pop in again.

We love smashing out some laps in the pool for exercise and always seek out the public pool on our travels.

Scone Memorial Swimming Pool was one of the best we've ever swum at. The pool water was not only spotlessly clean and clear, but the temperature was perfect - crisp and cool. Plus it was the cheapest entry fee we've encountered: $4.60. Staff were also wonderful, very friendly.

A highly disappointing experience with accommodation. The cabin was neglected and in dire need of maintenance.
To excuse the condition of the cabin, a note was left on the fridge to say renovations were planned for the future .. that should be no excuse for a poorly maintained and dirty cabin when Reflections charge their guests top dollar!!

    Pros
*Lake Glenbawn is a beautiful spot for water sports
    *The BBQ areas between cabins

    Cons
    *Dirty and poorly maintained cabins
*Cobwebs everywhere and maggots in the windowsills (the volume indicates several months of accumulation) .. I live on acreage and it would take a year of neglect for this volume to appear
*A double bed in the master (not practical for 2 adults)
*The cabin sleeps 6 but the lounge sits only 3 people (& there's seating for 2 on the outside deck) .. not sure where they expect the other guests to sit
*Walls are dirty, mouldy, rotten and with holes
    *Blinds are broken
*There's no after hours contact, so when neighbours keep you up at night with parties / music, there's no one to contact
*Other cabins had washing machines in them (not ours)
*Shower was exceptionally tiny, no room to move, with a shower curtain that had mould at the base.
*A small bodywash container was used as a door stop for the door to the 2nd bedroom.
*Sliding door creaked and wouldn't seal properly.

Overall, the cabin was dirty, neglected and in desperate need of maintenance. If Reflections didn't charge the high prices they do, I wouldn't be so disappointed. But just under $1,000 for 5 nights at a camp-site is a ridiculously expensive amount.

What can I say. This place is one of the best places I've ever visited . The food was absolutely yummy, the staff were fantastic, especially Katrina. What a lovely person, with a personality to die for. I've never come across a person who enjoyed her work so much. The people of Scone seem to be so happy. What a community.

Helicopter tours are never cheap, but you always hope that they are worth the money. This trip certainly was.

We took off from Loyalty Beach on Cape York and headed south past Seisia to Crab Island. The chopper was well equipped for sightseeing and photos, and our pilot Fergus was one of those people who made you feel safe and thrilled at the same time. There were no doors on the aircraft, which made the flight even more special. Of course we were securely belted-in so there was no real danger (except perhaps from over-excitement!).

We saw heaps of crocs, magnificent flocks of birds, sharks and other wildlife. Coming back we crossed the magnificent Jardine River and wetlands. Fergus kept us informed and entertained the whole trip via the headphones and we took some fabulous photos.
