Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Trish15 contributionsThanks to Norm and the staff at Narooma Charters for getting us out to Montague Island safely in threatening weather. We were so pleased that he also deemed it safe for us to snorkel with the seals on Sunday morning. Magic!
Many thanks to National Parks staff, Tim, and volunteer guide, Walter, for their support over a really memorable weekend.
Highly recommend the amazing experience of staying in the beautifully equipped accommodation on Montague Island.Written 13 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There were so many seals on the rocks and playing in the water. Definitely worth the detour.Written 25 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MLY18Melbourne, Australia73 contributionsA most delightful walk, saw some seals, pelicans and a sting ray. They were hanging around the fishermen who were gutting their catch, waiting for the off cuts.Written 9 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tina JSydney, Australia19 contributionsYou must go to the Narooma cemetery and walk down to the beach at Glass House Rocks! It is like a little Twelve Apostles.Written 27 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ellemay 🍹🐠🐳Sydney, Australia47,261 contributionsWe had a beautiful day at Safety Bar Beach just located south of the bridge in Narooma. The netted beach is ideal for families as it’s totally safe for swimming with no waves as it’s protected by the breakwater from Wagonga Heads. Just around the corner one can find the local seals and Manta Rays which swim regularly just near the Mills Bay boardwalk.Written 9 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Melissa FoordAustralia744 contributionsGreat area to visit from the big stingrays and seals in Wagonga Inlet through to Bar South Beach a closed off beach for snorkeling to the big surf beaches around.Written 11 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dru842Menai, Australia312 contributions12 Baby Boomer friends headed from Sydney and we were so glad we did. Narooma put on a show with the weather and the organisation of the festival. A glorious stress free (almost back to normal) event during the days and a fantastic dinner on the water at night.
Great job Narooma.Written 8 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew EMelbourne, Australia325 contributionsWent to the market and found it very pleasant with numerous variety of stall.
Couldn’t believe the varied approach to COVID-19, the entrance near the pool required a complete sign in as you would expect but the gate near the information center only required hand sanitizer, completely different standards less than 50 meters apart. This area seems to treat corona as a side issue and don’t take it seriously.Written 2 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The staff and the members are wonderfully friendly. Every single person we came across in two rounds across two days was great. Banter, helpful, remembered us, etc.
The course is a little dry (Nov ‘23 and just lack of rain for the past 8 months) so players are encouraged to hit off fairway mats but it’s a great fun track. $80 green fee is steep but the front 7 holes are as exciting and difficult as anywhere in the country. The remaining 11 holes are a bit more “parkland” but equally as different and tricky.
Biggest downfall: we played two rounds (Friday 1pm and Saturday 12pm) and both took 4h 55m for a two-ball. Waiting on every hole certainly becomes tiresome. It never free’d up. But approach it like holiday golf and you’ll have a wonderful time.
Well stocked pro shop too (hats, shoes, shirts, belts, accessories, etc).Written 11 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
