Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The walk along the Merimbula Boardwalk is beautiful. Parts of the boardwalk go over the water and the water level depends on the tide. The walk along the estuary is very peaceful with bird life and beautiful scenery. There are no railings on the boardwalk and it is wide enough to allow people to pass each other.

Kids absolutely loved it, and enjoyed feeding the animals and petting the echidna. George the goose was a delight and I even got to hand feed emus which was an interesting experience.

I understand that it's a non-for-profit so they're limited by how much they can do, but feels like some signs with the maps or arrows would be useful. It wasn't obvious where you're supposed to go to and whether you've covered the entire ground. Also add some hand sanitisers around? There are wild animals in there and the only option to clean was go to the toilet and wash there.

Finally, the fences have a very dense pattern to them, and if the sun shines on them it makes it very hard to see what's inside. This is obviously an issue in many zoos and not sure what's the solution. Paint them black? Add shade on top so sun doesn't reach them?

Lovely walk not too strenuous some steps good viewing platform for photos well signed. And other pause spots for views of coastline. Whales to be seen if you're lucky in the right season

Stopped here while on a shore excursion from our cruise ship. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They even provided a "welcome" bag full of helpful information. They eagerly answered our questions and provided direction. Great Service!!

The short point beach / lookout is a must at sunrise and sunset. Really nice seats and lookout in the reserve to watch the surf. The short walk to the look out at sunrise is worth the early wake up great for dogs and family’s.

We wanted to casual game of golf whilst away and this is certainly the place to come. There is so much to do at a reasonable price but we went for a quick 9 holes. There were three of us (2 adults and a 15yo) and we only required one kart between us which was good. The course is short compared to a normal course but due to the surrounding bushland there are plenty of trees, dog legs and water(lake beds were dried up through). Enjoyed it so much went went out again the next morning.

We had a really nice time paddling on the lake on a still morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. We followed up with coffees and a snack. Strongly recommended! YMMV

Knowledgeable, passionate staff, saw whales but no dolphins which was surprising as the first time I went with this business there were a lot! Lots of whales however, mum's and calves ❤️

The skipper Simon was so patient and we ended up having a fantastic cruise. A mother and calf put on a show for us. The boat was comfortable and handled the conditions beautifully. I highly recommend whale watching in Merimbula
