Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I participated in the trek to Mt Gower with Environmental Tours guide Kayla and about 10 others. Kayla set a fast pace but included rest stops every ten minutes for a brief and informative education on the geology or biology of the area. She is clearly experienced in guiding people to the mountain top and wisely recommended walkers retain some energy reserves for the trip back. I was one of those who didn't quite make it to the top but had climbed enough distance to enjoy some spectacular views back at Mt Lidgbird and the island beyond it. The arduous trip is well worth the effort even if the pinnacle is not reached

Plenty of trails around the island, all very unique, very hilly some quite steep, but all definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I completed 6 dives over 3 days with Dive Lord Howe and could not be more impressed with the team! My husband dived during our previous visit (when the business was known as ‘Pro Dive’) but this was my first time as I’ve only recently gained my open water certification. Being a relatively new diver, I’m still quite nervous, but the staff really went above and beyond to put me at ease. The dives were of course spectacular, and we really appreciated Aaron doing his best to accommodate our requests for specific dive sites. The safety measures were next level, and all of the dive equipment was excellent and well-maintained. The team even came to my rescue when one of the buckles on my (personally-owned) dive fins broke just as I was about to enter the water! They really were prepared for everything! The level of professionalism was so impressive, and being served hot drinks, cookies and red frogs as we chilled out and floated in the lagoon during our surface interval was a pretty special experience I won’t forget! Thank you Aaron, Dave, Michelle, Ash and team Dive Lord Howe for a wonderful diving experience. We can’t wait to dive with you again!

Loved this walk!! Dean was very informative and ensured that we got the most out of it! Long and exhausting but totally manageable by anyone with a reasonable fitness level. Would recommend it to my friends.

We did the Balls Pyramid trip with Dave in 2021 which was amazing. On our 2023 trip we chose the night snorkel tour which was by far the best tour we’ve done on Lord Howe yet. Beautiful sunset dive where the coral colours came to life as the sky turned all shades of pink, then out in the darkness with turtles, moray eels, little reef sharks and all sorts of marine life. Dave keeps an eye on you from the boat and 2 guides take you through different spots in the lagoon. Everyone has a torch and guides have yellow vests which are easy to spot. I have Anxiety Disorder so this combo of snorkelling, water and dark was a big challenge for me but I felt trust in Dave’s knowledge of the lagoon and safe the entire time I was in the water. I would say this is an absolute must do when you visit and unique to any other tours on offer. We’ll be doing it next trip for sure.

Great fishing adventure, we caught Trevally and Kingfish and Jack filleted fish for us to take.
Would recommend giving it a go.
