Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- MeggSydneyEastwood, Australia769 contributionsLovely long beach, with lots of grass behind to sit in shade. Shed for fish food purchase and snorkelling gear hire is out of action after a land slip behind it this week.Written 22 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrea HNewcastle, Australia145 contributionsA challenging walk, 17km elevation 748metres and on the mountain for 9hours.
So lucky to have a lovely sunny day with spectacular views.
A lot of ropes for climbing challenging parts which were very much appreciated. Some really steep sections which needed care in choice of footholds and slowed the pace down to slowest pace of 36 min/km.
Would be very slippery when wet or covered in cloud.
Vegetation was varied and unique and views were to die for.
Not for anyone who is unfit , suffers from vertigo and has weak upper arm strength.Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Hire a kayak or a stand up paddle board from Lord Howe Environmental Tours or the Dive Lord Howe shops (usually $15 an hour) and enjoy an hour or so on the lagoon- head out to Rabbit Island, past the jetty and all over the lagoon. Make sure to get some fresh kingfish sashimi, kingfish croquettes or fish n chips from Benny's Fish Truck on the days he's operating (down by the jetty). That's the latest addition to the island this past year and what a delicious one it is! Can't go too wrong on Lord Howe. ;-)Written 5 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Stephanie R2 contributionsWe absolutely loved going on the 'Beyond The Reef Guided Snorkelling Expedition'. The fish around the Admiralty Islands were amazing and it was fabulous (and exhilarating!) to be able to swim through the arch. Many thanks to Dave and Jazz.Written 7 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Docbot_SydneyAustralia221 contributionsJust a fabulous tour. We were on the boat with another family with young children and Peter allowed a slightly later start so both our child and the other families child could have a lunchtime nap. Peter was engaging and informative and loved answering questions. We saw turtles, lots of fish an even a small reef shark. Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend for families with toddlers as they LOVE the glass bottom boat.Written 18 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
