Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- MeggSydneyEastwood, Australia769 contributionsLovely long beach, with lots of grass behind to sit in shade. Shed for fish food purchase and snorkelling gear hire is out of action after a land slip behind it this week.Written 22 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AviSydney, Australia87 contributionsJust lovely! Hire a kayak or a stand up paddle board from Lord Howe Environmental Tours or the Dive Lord Howe shops (usually $15 an hour) and enjoy an hour or so on the lagoon- head out to Rabbit Island, past the jetty and all over the lagoon. Make sure to get some fresh kingfish sashimi, kingfish croquettes or fish n chips from Benny's Fish Truck on the days he's operating (down by the jetty). That's the latest addition to the island this past year and what a delicious one it is! Can't go too wrong on Lord Howe. ;-)Written 5 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Katie DBrighton and Hove, UK461 contributionsLovely views, great beach, definitely worth a visit. Would be a good place to kayak as the sea is quite calm.Written 5 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Katie DBrighton and Hove, UK461 contributionsNice beach, get kingfishers close to here, there are some that sit on the fence of the airport, the walk up to Transit Hill starts here.Written 5 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
