Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautifull light house with wonderfull views of coast line. There is a car park at top with a small fee that you can park. For hiking its a long way from down, but with all perfect views.

Almost every Australian who talks about Byron starts by saying in a wistful tone, ’It’s not what it used to be’ and then goes on to lament that the once bohemian surfers’ paradise has been ruined by tourism and commercialisation.
Certainly it's a tourist mecca these days but it’s also a lively, fun, and stunningly beautiful part of the NSW coastline.
The beaches all have rolling waves and long stretches of golden sand. We alternated between Main Beach, Clarkes Beach and Wategos but our favourite was The Pass.
The thing that really ‘made’ our trip was staying right on the beach.
Byron Bay Beachfront Apartments were directly opposite Main beach so we walked nearly everywhere and hardly moved our car during our stay.
Car parking and congestion on the main road are two of the big frustrations for many visitors to Byron so if you can avoid this by booking centrally located accommodation then it will make all the difference.
The village centre was also just a couple of minutes walk away. It’s crowded for sure but it also offers lots of shops, boutiques, cafes, street entertainers, bars, and upmarket restaurants.
Japonaise Kitchen was our favourite for a casual meal.
Byron Bay is mostly all about the beaches but if you need a change of pace, there are a lot of other things to do.
One afternoon we decided to do a bit of exploring so we walked the Byron Bay History Walking Trail (see separate review).
On the weekend, we went to the very popular Community Markets which are held on Sunday mornings.
The best non-beach thing we did was visiting The Farm. Kids loved feeding the sheep, chickens and pigs and we loved relaxing at the cafe-restaurant.

I had a 90 mins brewery tour which started explaning the history of Stone&Wood, paired with some nice beers. Then a tour through the brewery which consists of special an temporary brews (also barrel aged if you're lucky). In the end we had a 6pcs tasting of which the tourgroup could decide the preferred beers.
All together a real good experience!

Very good experience with young kids. Plenty of animals to walk around and see as well as some ice cream to eat. There is a small playground too. Check it out

Guide was so informative, well spoken and friendly. Seemed genuinely interested in her job, the history of the Distillery and the family farm. Was more than happy to share this with us and the others in the group. Great product, good price and good staff.

Just spent Good Friday at Blues Festival and it was great except for the VIP Lounge a waist of money. The overall festival is a great event the organisation , the music, the people fantastic but the VIP area was disappointing. For an extra $150 dollars there was not enough seating to relax and only one food option a lamb roll for $22 the meat was tough over cooked and nothing else not even a gravy or coleslaw. Save your money and it would pay for 10 drinks and better food outside.

Notwithstanding a unique experience and a great Tourist one, it was easy to get to, do and so cheap for such fun. The Train Staff were outstanding. Tasteful souvenirs for Grandchildren. Parking along road at the end, away from Byron, was easy, free and safe. The old train carriages were beautiful and comfortable and stations easy to navigate. Children on our rides were overjoyed by the entire experience. Their excitement was infectious. It’s wonderful to have an opportunity to ride on the train and a commendable effort by all involved.

The chauffeurs are all very professional and punctual. I was extremely pleased with the communication process from the front office to the drivers, and the cars are immaculate. Will absolutely use this company again.

There is something for everyone, the prices are not cheap, on the positive there are good quality products. Its easier to park few streets back which is free parking, and have an easy walk to the market. The nearby parking is limited and its$4.00 per hour. The stalls meander for quite a while and such a welcoming atmosphere.

Loes and the rest of the girls were so amazing and so friendly. Great prices and we rented from them everyday.

Can’t recommend them enough. Great people and shop. Right next to beach as well. Always good vibes in there

What a fantastic trip this was, Hazel and Angus were so knowledgeable and knew just where to see so many humpbacks in a calm sea. Highly recommended
