I am a novice when it comes to the paint however Giulia's instruction and easy to follow steps allowed me to feel comfortable in no time. I found the class to be a pleasant social experience and it was great to meet the other members of the class. The painting allowed me to forget about life for a minute and really be in the moment. - Gayle Cue19 contributionsA painting class with Bernadette gives an opportunity to play around with paints but there is so much more on offer. She has a lovely home studio filled with light and magnificent views out the expansive windows. Before we even picked up the paint brush we were given the chance to settle into the space in the studio, as well as settle into the space within ourselves. Bernadette's process of getting you to connect to yourself releases any stress around having to create a masterpiece or get it right. Instead it becomes a playful inquiry about what you want to express and what colour you feel like using to express yourself. Social media was okay, if you understand basic social media, you probably won't get much out of it. Japanese was amazing. They tailored a private walk and cycle specifically for me and offered other suggestions and tours that I might be interested in. The commentary by Liam during the coastal walks were both interesting, informative and educational and he had a great depth of knowledge of the history of the towns, the Indigenous sites, the wildlife, the fauna and flora and eco systems.
