Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I liked the rock formations & Little Wategos Beach
The sealed hillside track is surely not PWD friendly .. due to the amount of stepsWritten 13 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a decent sized carpark here and a path that leads straight down to the beach so it’s a handy spot but don’t expect a panoramic view.
There is a changing room/toilet block to the right of the beach path, some outdoor gym equipment, and a picnic area with one or two wooden tables.
However the picnic area is also overgrown and quite dark and gloomy so I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone. There are so many beautiful picnic spots all over Byron that you can do much, much better elsewhere. This one is past its use-by date.
Although the lookout views are completely obscured by native bushland, just past it is an elevated boardwalk that does have some lovely vantage points.
We were walking from Main Beach to Wategos so we kept walking and after just a couple of minutes we had some really vantage points, looking down over Clarkes and Main Beaches.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
