Took a day trip up here from Merimbula and the whole walk from the carpark to the beach felt like an adventure, same going to camel rock. The Shells on the beach are massive and you need to have a little dig through the rock pools if you want to find some really good ones. Rock formations are amazing, sand quality very soft

Lovely place to have a stroll. Some nice restaurants nearby. Loved the walk around seeing the boats and especially in the evening with the lights reflecting on the water

Great and entertaining experience - and quite unique. The only gold mine in Australia, where they mined gold on the beach! Knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Also learnt to divine water. The children in the tour group loved it too. An unexpected treat!

Walked from camel rock. From south cant see it as a horse head but once north of it can definitely see it. Loved the track too

This wharf area is a great place to wander around and educate the kids as to where the fish comes from and how it gets to markets. We were lucky as the a number of trawlers were either departing or getting ready to depart, this being an interesting activity to see. Plenty of free parking, shopping and a great fish and chip outlet to grab a meal from.

Smacked the back end out of a snitzel & side of gravy. Great feed. Pricey @ $30 but would recommend.

It was a great day. Captain Crusty and the crew were professional and friendly. They looked after us really well. The fishing was hardcore. Crusty never let up. We caught a ship load of fish!! It was completely and unreservedly AWESOME!!
We also saw some penguins, seals, dolphins and a host of different birds.
Bermagui is a great little secret ...

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of being on a spacious, beautiful catamaran sailing along a pristine coastline, immersed in an abundance of marine life.
Crew were welcoming, friendly and highly experienced.

We dropped into the Michael Lerner Lookout on the way back from Tathra.
There is a large parking area and a small track goes down to a seat and an unpacked viewing area. You get nice views towards Bermagui as well as over the cliff face to the South.
The bushes have grown so the best photo opportunities is from a very narrow spit of land that juts out. But be careful as the drop off either side is sheer. Don’t let kids go out there.
Michael Lerner and his wife were keen American anglers who came to Bermagui in 1939 fishing for Marlin. The information board about them is quite interesting.

The team were very helpful. When I asked about hiring the SUP they suggested that it would be better the next day because of tides and the wind. They gave great instructions on how to do the stand-up paddle-boarding. Prices were very reasonable. My son got a small cut on his foot. They were very obliging and helped with band aids etc. had lunch afterwards at the restaurant. Great food. Great hosts.
