Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Ken JBermagui, Australia192 contributionsbit of a drive through the forest to get there from bermagui . great place to go for a swim on a hot day.Written 7 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sharon DBallarat, Australia54 contributionsNot much point in stopping…..just a cafe stop really. Although the country is pretty to drive through, there is no real point in stopping as there is no tour and nothing to do or see. The coffee was fine but we were pretty disappointed to have whipped cream from a can (for our scone) given we were at a dairy factory! It’s not that it was a bad experience, just ordinary!Written 4 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susie DIpswich, Australia26 contributionsFriendly staff very welcoming ladies. The museum looks small from the outside but is like the Tardis inside. Lots to seeWritten 17 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Skeney57Sydney, Australia25,311 contributionsTo give it it's proper name! The trail is actually a combination of several routes of varying lengths & of sights of the Bega district. The river trail was a pleasant interlude with a fast flowing shallow Bega River over the multiple sand banks and would be a great paddle spot on a hot day and a pleasant stroll on a Sunday morn.Written 5 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FyingKiwiChristchurch, New Zealand1,129 contributionsScenic view wise, does not have much to offer other than a view of Bega and its surrounds. What may be useful is finding out, by way of a directions disc, how far you have come or are yet to go. Interesting, it is very close to being halfway mark between Sydney and Melbourne.Written 7 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - stroudy52Nethercote, Australia95 contributionsIf ever there was a history-filled, derelict building crying out for a grand design rebuild/makeover, this is it.
And it’s going to happen!
While the visioning and funding is put in place you can visit and wander the site, enjoy the vistas from the hilltop, drink in the mood from this late 19th century hospital, visit and chat with local potters, beekeepers, radio enthusiasts...and be happy that it’s going to become an even better community hub when complete.

Wonderful foyer well used for the occasion for morning and Afternoon tea. Glass and warm looking out over the "Village Green" Good toilets. Seats to sit on all day are usually tough !!

Verandah well used for the choir the previous night !Written 11 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Worth a look when in town and it is also the entrance to the sports ground.Written 5 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
