Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- HappyChippyUnited States673 contributionsMy Favorite Beach! I travel to the Caribbean often and see some beautiful beaches, but this one, brings me back numerous times each month. I LOVE this beach. The sunrises, soft waves, beautiful shaded backside of the beach, all the beach glass, and now the newly added concession and restrooms. I always recommend this beach. It's great for families, dog friendly, plenty of space, and never overly crowded. Waves are perfect for playing and listening.Written 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- mcrixxColumbia Station, OH70 contributionsPaper moon was our first stop on the lake Erie shores and island wine trail. We liked the theme of the winery and the people who worked there were extra nice. Now a days wineries offer something for everyone, myself I like sweet wines and they have plenty of good ones to choose. So if you get a chance check this one out.Written 29 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Doug WardSheffield Lake, OH321 contributionsVery nice lighthouse with a great beach. It is a short walk from a cute Main Street Vermilion. There was a cold wind blowing off of the lake but the lighthouse was so interesting that we kept going. It was worth nearly freezing to death.Written 1 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GadaboutJrDallas11 contributionsWhat a great stop! It was one of the highlights of our visit to Vermilion. The museum curator is absolutely charming with a very impressive collection. He not only has the print shop but a whole lot more. Don't miss it if you're in the area.Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dr_XaosPalatine, IL1,296 contributionsTook my younger daughter and some similar aged nieces and nephews to this park. Despite being fairly busy at the time of our arrival, there was plenty of open parking spaces located around the area. The park has several different pieces of playground, which span from younger kid playsets to larger climbing towers with slides. Plenty of different things for the kids to run, climb, swing, and slide upon.
The park is located near Lake Erie with a beach just across the way from the playgrounds. They have plenty of benches and seating available as well as a large pavillion with numerous picnic tables. While we didn't pack a meal, we easily could have made a daytrip of the visit if we brought more stuff with us.
Park was clean and pretty well-maintained. Some things were in need of maintenance and repair, but the overall location was in good shape.Written 1 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We live about 35 minutes away but love to go their at least every other month. We stock up on their meats. Love their prime ribs, smoked pork chops, Italian sausage, and chicken.
Their produce and bakery are top notxh.Written 20 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jondra E2 contributionsWhile vacationing here I stopped in and realized the artists' work was a perfect fit for this area. WATER SIGNS by Hilary D Gent - showing her work through September 1st. Her waterscapes are formed by pouring paint directly on flat canvas, allowing the liquid to form in a way that left me feeling as if the paintings are moving. She captures thought-provoking images reflecting a vast assortment of color in the water along the horizon.
Her second art form on display intrigued me. Check this artist out, I won't ruin the surprise with any description - definitely worth the visit!Written 13 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - learnedtravelerHuron, OH114 contributionsThis rustic, small nursery is located next to a beautiful old home in which the owner lives. It's location is close to the Mill Hollow metro park. This is it's 31st year of operation and is open from 05/05-06/24/17. Their flavor is woodsy with emphasis on fairy gardens. I like the miniatures. Even though I'm not particularly into the fairy gardens, theirs are some of the most charming I've seen. The setting is more unique than the offerings but I am drawn back somehow each year and always find something to buy. A must for anyone who loves to garden!Written 6 May 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
