Wonderful visit, friendly helpful staff. Had a flight of the sweet and was able to substitute one tasting, thank you. Had burger and chicken skewers. Both were very tasty. Had POC beer-Pride of Cleveland, lol, and despite the name it was a favorite!! Great outdoor seating area. Order you food on the inside, pick it up at bar area then take it out to the dining patio.

We first visited Grand Rivers about 8 years ago when we first did our wine tour of the Grand River Valley wineries. This is another winery which has grown on us. It uses both local grapes (Grand River Valley designation) and outside grapes (American) . We wanted visit wineries which at least use some of the local grapes and skip those which do not use any. It is not saying that the Winery cannot make excellent award winning wines from California/Washington/Oregon grapes only that we want to taste Ohio originating wines. We ordered both the white and red dry tasting wines. We liked too many and ended up buying 6 bottles some of which were GRV and some American origin. They have same setup as Debonne - tastings with souvenir glasses, water and crackers to cleanse the pallet. Gabby our waitress did excellent job and if you buy wine through your server at end you get a discount. We have also eaten here in past and food is very good. Note food reservations on weekends are a must.

Friendly staff with some decent wines. Went for a tasting and purchased a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Good wine, enjoyed the outside seating, overall a positive experience.

A group of us visited the vineyard one day and we are very glad we did. The owner took us on a short tour and explained the whole process and the differences between the grapes and wines. It was very informative and fun! I thought their wines were terrific. Pricier than others, and worth it. Humble winery and well worth the visit. Thank you, Maple Ridge, for a lovely day!

The Riesling wine and bruschetta at Stonegate are fabulous! The wine was excellent and I could not leave the interesting winery without buying a bottle to take home. Stonegate has 2 Rieslings, the one I had was semi-sweet, with the tiniest hint of bubbles. At 12% alcohol it did not burn my nose. The wine is smooth and color perfect. Born in Germany, I know Riesling and this is one of the best. The wine I selected, American Riesling, is made from local grapes of the Grand River Valley in Madison, Ohio. The Riesling paired perfectly with bruschetta of tomatoes, cheese, basil and a bit of purple onion, gently garnished with a balsamic glaze. A friend and I sat on the beautiful patio which offered shade in the afternoon. The winery was well planned and was once a huge barn. It was quiet inside and outside and we could here ourselves talk. I felt as if I were relaxing in Napa Valley but with more perfect weather! The staff was welcoming and kindly answered our many questions. We are the scouts checking out wineries and will be back with a group of 14 on a Tuesday in October. I plan to visit as many times as I can before winter sets in. A unique and important fact is that this winery is open later in the day on Tuesdays than most wineries in the area. If you love bruschetta or pizza, paired with delicious wine, don't hesitate to include this winery on your Northeast Ohio winery tour!

This winery is across from Laurentia and they sometimes share their grape harvest. I spoke with another customer at St Joseph's Winery who was not sold on this place. Since Laurentia had 1.5 hr wait and this was just across the road, I thought why not.
I am very happy I visited here.
The wine list is very limited. They list 2 wines (see attached photo, the ones we bought are marked) as being sweet Rosie's Harvest and 2016 (1/2 sweet Riesling) If you know Riesling, to me it is more semi to dry sweet. Therefore, at this time, if you are primarily sweet to semi-sweet and want to taste, this may not be place to go. Since we like dry wines this was a great place.
The vinters were at the bar helping the customers so you have a chance to talk to them about their wine. The Lady who helped us was very very good and knowledgeable.
On the list you will note two 2017 Cabs Sauv - one Schubert-Ferney and one is called Gerald Smith. We like Gerald but not Schubert. The vinter came over and explained the Cabs are made from two different vineyards across the Grand River from each other and that is why they have a different test - the "terroir" imparts a different taste to the grape dependent on the soil. I had read about the impact of soil etc but never had chance to taste difference of same grape, same winery, and same year, to me this was neat. We also talked about the Agawam grape which Buccia had made wine. The vinter stated they were in the process of making Agawam also but it was not ready for bottling.
I heard Laurentia had a great Cab Sauv and I believe these guys have one to match.
We would have liked to buy more but reached our budget with the 3 which we bought. We tried to buy the ones which we liked the most.

Based on other reviews, we decided to make this our last stop of the day and eat dinner there. We were a little surprised that a tasting was $4.00 for a 1.5 oz.. sample. Basically $2.00 higher than any of the other wineries in the area. I usually purchase at least one bottle from each winery we visit, if not more. I base my purchases on the tasting. I wasn't going to have $16.00 in tastings when a glass of wine was $8/$9.

The food was just OK. Two people in our party ordered prosciutto panini's. There was very little meat and a large slice of buffalo mozzarella and too much pesto - which totally overpowered the prosciutto.

I had the gnocchi. I liked it but the fried spinach was a little odd. I had a glass of sauvignon blanc. It was very good. My brother ordered the bolognese. Small portion and not a lot of meat. The other thing we noticed is the food came out very quickly. I guess that could be good or bad!

The winery itself is very beautiful and inviting.

I limit myself to one positive review for a year, (just the way I am) and this year I would like touch upon Rainbow Farms. This review is based on the past 5 years, not just this year, that my wife and I have been going to the farm. We live in Macedonia, Oh and drive the 47+ miles one way to do u-pick: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, beans, and peppers. The product we u-pick is in the pounds. We have purchased lettuce, carrots, corn etc. from the little store, all being good and fresh. We freeze enough berries to last us till the next season along with beans and peppers. We always pick extra so we have items to snack on, bake and cook with. The employees have always been helpful, especially the owners. I would highly recommend Rainbow, especially if you have children. We are retired and it is a pure joy to see children pick for the first time. Looking forward to the start of Strawberry season in 2024. Highly Recommend Rainbow Farms.

First visit and will return next trip. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Had a flight of the sweets and husband had flight of beer. Enjoyed the Maryland crab flat bread. Great property
