What travellers are saying
- Angelo SHilliard, OH3,630 contributionsSmall Branch of the Columbus Metro Park system has a little for everyone. First off, decent parking paces and a nice walking trail that weaves through the park. It also connects to the Rails-to-Trails that run along side the park.
There are multiple spots to picnic, some reserve-able shelterhouses, some open tables. Lots of room to spread out.
There is a large pond that supports fishing, a large wildflower area and two playgrounds for kids.Written 12 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Give it some time too, because there are several rooms with audio programs about the worldwide history of TVs.Written 3 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bycamfieldHilliard, OH11 contributionsThis park is one of my summertime favorites with the grandchildren. They’ve got all kinds of tunnels and water features. Although there are roads running through the park, drivers are careful and the area is well designated for walkers.Written 8 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gfellgHilliard, OH8 contributionsWe have enjoyed many opportunities at the park. From the splash pad, to movies, to festivals. The facility and area is just wonderful!Written 19 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- klbarth39Columbus, OH746 contributionsThis is a hidden Gem in the heart of Hilliard on the Franklin County Fair Grounds. There are several old buildings from the 1800's and early 1900's. Most all of them were moved from other areas in or around Hilliards. The old railroad terminal, old pair of railroad crossing signals from downtown that was installed by my father in law who was a railroader and lived in Hilliards, there is also an old Church, a log 2 floor cabin with an outhouse, a old one room school, old covered bridge, old voting booth and many more items.
All of these are in a 19th century village green. The church is used for weddings, funerals and special events. The voting booth has large wheels similar to the old covered wagons. They were pulled by horses then later by tractors to vacant lots, parks. They had a small pot belly store to keep the election officials and voters warm on cold day. There were normally room for 2 or 3 voters at a time to vote. The one room school house normally had students from first grade to 8th grade, all being taught by one teacher.
In the same area where the historic village is located there is also a large building which is the Historical Society Museum with several antiques.
The village has several park benches that enable you to sit and rest while enjoying the view.Written 27 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The only thing I don’t like is that there is a small pond with nothing around it. It’s beautiful but sometimes it worries me. You know kids!Written 8 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Didn’t have a clue what it was so I drove over. I knew they were going to build a Bo Jackson sports facility in town but thought it was in a waaaay different area of town.
The vast majority of the complex is a huge inflated oval dome. You can feel your ears adjust to the pressure change when you go through the revolving doors. It’s huge! Indoor infield baseball fields. Tons of batting cages, including pitching cages, one or two soccer areas and The Gauntlet. The mother of all climbing walls. The local fire department was walking around when I was there. They were thinking of using it for repelling practice! Looks like they have lots of sports training classes/options.

I thoroughly enjoyed my bike ride on Heritage Trail in December (no snow), but I am sure it will be much more enjoyable when trees are green. ÂWritten 24 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
