This is a special experience. Little penguins are unique in many ways - for example in how long they spend sleeping at sea. We saw many more penguins than we imagined - hundreds! And some nights thousands come along in total. We would recommend the guided tour - it isn't much more, but you get a brilliant spot to view, and we learnt a lot from our lovely guide Jan.

I feel a bit sorry for the team getting 1* reviews from both those wanting to take photos (incorrect), and those bemoaning people ignoring the no-photo rule (correct) - no winning! The rule is there for the reason - we saw multiple flashes 'accidentally' going off. The penguins are wild animals and should be respected. Just enjoy the experience of being with them! There are plenty of photos on the website which are better than any you can take. Much more fun to photobomb those ignoring the rule.

Thank you for a lovely experience, we will come back to see the koalas next time!

p.s. make sure you drive carefully to get there, especially at night as there is a lot of wildlife around the road.

Took our 2 year old and he quite enjoyed walking the paths and there’s lots of opportunities to see koalas. We all enjoyed it and the park is very beautiful with lots of big gun trees and shaded areas to stop as well. Loved that there were signs in spots where there were koalas and a few were really close 🐨

I don’t think I have ever been anywhere else where the employees are so grumpy and miserable!
This is our 3rd year & I am yet to see anyone smile as their guest approach. You weren’t even busy this year.
Ever heard d of customer service training?
Grumpy from top to bottom! Go get a job where you’re happy.

Access to this Zoo was restricted because of the Covid lockdown but it has bounced back. The kangaroos are often lethargic in the middle of the day, when the temperature is hottest. The flightless emus are the second-largest birds in the world, they are inquisitive and may approach you, but they are harmless. In the unlikely event that they peck you, don't worry, their bite is painless..

It was wonderful walking the boardwalk with birds flying around us and seeing the gulls nesting. Natural, rugged landscape but so relaxing enjoying the walk then the Antarctic experience after. Lots of reading in the exhibition then finished off sitting watching the big screens highlighting life at the Antarctic. We spent about 2 hours in total here.

Great day so much to see and do for all ages, sheep shearing, sheep dogs, cow milking, and whip cracking lessons. There was a music festival on which was sold out but the music we heard was amazing

The westernmost point of Phillip Island is worth exploring, especially The Nobbies. Inside you’ll find lots of information and stunning views but it’s outside that is awesome. Boardwalks and information signs lead you around the point where you can take in the beautiful coastline. Walk as far or as little as you like….it’s up to you. We saw so many birds and gulls nesting. There are toilets there and a nice icecream shop with seating inside and outside.

Amazing staff, beautiful setting and delicious food. My friend suggested the winery for lunch as she had been before and it did not disappoint.

My wife and I went on a Winter Whale Cruise that cruised for 4 hours around the whole of Phillip Island – Departs Rhyll Jetty.

The boat stopped at Seal Rock, near the Nobbies, where there were plenty of seals. An estimated 30,000 seals live in this area.

It was interesting to see so many seals, although we had previously seen seals on other boat cruises in Mornington Peninsula, Lakes Entrance and San Francisco, USA.

Excellent walk for families and anyone except the most unfit. From the car park, about 1km along the beach then up some stairs and then 1.2km along the cape to the lookout - a gentle slope most of the way. Took us about 1 hr 10 from car park back to car park. No shade.

This was a spontaneous stop after passing a sign. Great walk along the beach to the rocky cave area. Was a wild, cold day when we went but still enjoyable. Beach is lovely and the walk was great.

Large family friendly beach. Nice clean waters. Red rocks are awesome to explore. Lots of shops and restaurants on the other side of the road.
