Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We used our year long locals pass for the last time today as they will expire in a few days. Love doing the airwalk and the swinging bridges circuit. Had a good picnic at the tables in the sun. A definite must do in Tasmania.

Outstanding centre with so many interesting artefacts, art and more. Staff were amazing with information provided. Murals on the outside and wood carvings of previous residents. Fantastic asset for the town. 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏

This is an easy half hour return walk to view the falls. It is a good option if you are time short or not as fit. Worth a visit when in the Hartz park.

Visited in the middle of the day and were lucky to see two in separate locations. Well worth the trip down to Geeveston.

What a pleasant surprise. This is my favorite gift shop/ art gallery during my Tasmanian trip! I was on my way back from searching for the Centurion eucalyptus tree. Due to the forest fire, the park is closed to certain points. So I scouted out the closest town after stopping for coffee. Then I stumped over the Aurora Fae gallery. I loved her work! The buzzwords I could think of are: fine lines, tarot cards, ceramic, nature, color, kindergarten.

She is so friendly. She also sourced a few other artist local or in Australia. I ended up bought a few pins from another Malaysian artist who by chance is her sister in law.

If you are driving south In the Huon Valley, about 20 minutes south of Huonville, make sure you turn off the highway and take a walk through the old timber industry town of Geeveston. From the Information Centre full of memorabilia from the 19th century till today about the town, to the unique life sized wooden sculptures of locals from the town’s past, it is well worth the time to spend an hour or so soaking in what the town has to tell.

We enjoyed a walk along the new Port Huon - Geeveston track which passes along the river. It is an easy walk and we enjoyed the different perspective.

I stopped in for a coffee and had the best coffee I'd had in ages. I also tried one of the cheese and pickle platters, which was unexpectedly delicious, particularly since I'm not usually a massive fan of pickles. The pickles brought out some really delicious flavours in the cheese. A balm for the soul!

This unusual sculpture of Corten steel represents the footprint of the 500 years old swamp gum that was destroyed by bushfires in 2019. There are cut-outs of quotes to reflect the community experience of bushfires. The Arve Big Tree stood at 87m in height and was one of a few accessible giant trees and is listed on the Tasmanian Giant Tree Register. The sign advises that an app, ‘Arve Big Tree’ recreates the tree in augmented reality; I’ll have to update my smartphone.

This was an interesting memorial but sadly run down with some signs not readable. The wooden sculptures were good and the old swamp gum massive and a good idea but needs more attention.

The memorial commemorates those killed in accidents while working in Tasmania's forests. Its located near Platypus Walk, a stylised tree stump surrounded by trees in varying stages of maturity. I counted 47 tribute plaques on the memorial. There is a boulder nearby with plaques to Peter Bennett and Dr Richard Geeves and the Memorial plaque. It was dedicated in November 2009.

Lovely building in the Victorian Carpenter Gothic Style and constructed of timber and weatherboard cladding with a small belfry above the front façade. I understand that it was built for the Congregation Church in 1880 but have only been able to reference minimal information.
