Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Suzanne2303Labrador, Australia1,392 contributionsThis walk is regarded as ‘Moderate’. I’m relatively fit, but I needed to stop a few times to catch my breath, because there’s a lot of steps and it’s quite steep. At the top there’s a boardwalk around for different views of the magnificent Wineglass Bay. We were blessed with fine weather and great photographic opportunities.
The walk back down to the car park breaks off on its own loop so you won’t expect to meet people climbing up.
There are lots of car parks but they fill up quickly!Written 24 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tons of wildlife right in the campsite with beautiful beach walks. Fantastic for kids. Very helpful, friendly staff. Many different hiking options.Written 25 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ivanka M40 contributionsAmazing ! This has been on my bucket list for years and finally did it 🙌 we were lucky enough to do it on a perfect spring day. Took us 1.5hrs return to the beach. Not for those that are unfit of have knee or hip issues as lots of steps and uneven walking surfaces. Suitable for kids (tweens/teens -my three did it no issues ) maybe not for little kids. As beautiful as I thought it would be!Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

certainly worth a quick pitstopWritten 2 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - heleneandfamilyMontreal, Canada236 contributionsAbsolutely delicious oysters!!
Tried both the natural ones, the Tasmanian flavored ones and the steamed ones with asian flavor, all top notch!!
However, way too expensive!! At 3$ each is seems really exaggerated considering they culture them next by and there’s no service (the clients do everything)
Too sad, as if not, we’ve been there twice a day;)Written 20 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The head honcho of the organisation was skipper for this cruise so the commentary contained some personal insights which were great fun. We were lucky to see dolphins, seals, whales and a sea eagle as well as the spectacular coast of the Freycinet Peninsula.
We were booked on the lower deck which had the advantage of external access to the front of the vessel. The only downside was the bento-box lunch which didn't really match the quality of the rest of the offering. That's the only reason for my 4* rating (yes - I know - a bit mean but I do try to reserve 5*s for something that's really really excellent).Written 9 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carryn2013Brisbane, Australia45 contributionsGreat fun, adults teens and tweens all enjoyed it. Our P plate driver absolutely loved driving! Able to go pretty fast, over obstacles and through water hazards, not forced to go boring and slow. Lots of dirt all over you but the time you're finished. Beautiful stop at friendlies beach.Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jason TAdelaide, Australia565 contributionsWe thoroughly enjoyed our two hours on this tour with Declan who is a great host which you can only conclude, is passionate about the industry!
The main event is a short drive in their van from the rendezvous where you can have something to eat and drink before or after the tour and we enjoyed our food.
This tour is a fantastic way to get hands on with Oyster farming whilst also having fun, especially as you don some waders first and head off shore and then return and "attempt" to shuck your oysters which is all quite entertaining. You will also get to sample some local mussels which I thoroughly enjoyed, all with a pleasant white wine.
This is a fantastic experience you won't be disappointed with and I highly recommend it !Written 4 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was relaxed and enjoyable, the lunch was delicious and the wine was really lovely. It was great to be able to taste so many local wines from small, family owned businesses. Roshan was knowledgeable and friendly, providing insights into the history of the places we visited, recommendations for our trip and allowing us plenty of time at each stop. Thanks so much for an awesome day!Written 10 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Heidi MLos Altos, CA29 contributionsThe cruise was fabulous! Ewen and Kate shared parts of the coast otherwise inaccessible by foot or vehicle. Picnicked on a stretch of deserted paradise. The owner of Freycinet was very accommodating to our needs and booking was very easy. I highly recommend this ~ it was a highlight of our vacation!Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
