Alot of sight packed into a few hours, and in addition alot of information about the hsitory of Tasmania and specific sights. Alex was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and very kind! As a solo traveller, he made sure I felt included in the tour group and got to know everyone, catering to their individual needs as well as the overall group's needs. For example he dropped some of the other participants at the airport to make their flight, and found comfortable places for people who couldn't hike for long hours to await the rest of the group. Despite the heavy downpour of the rain Alex planned the itinerary very well so we could avoid heavy spells of rain and was very communicative. It was very professionally run by Trent, who was very well-organised, thoughtful and always fully focused on the trip and the interests of the group. We did an amazing amount in a short space of time, but it was not a whistle-stop tour as Trent was keen for us to see and do everything as fully as possible. The accommodation was of a good standard and managed to be quite varied over the three nights. We saw an impressive variety of animals and were very lucky with weather! - Karana190Brisbane, Australia384 contributionsWonderful cruise. Everything turned out really well. Weather was supposed to be wet and windy with a big swell but it was a stunning day and although there was a swell it was not a problem. We had a large pod of dolphins play with us for quite a while so that everyone got good photos. We also saw seals, lots of sea birds and even a shy Albatross. The crew were all excellent, informative and amusing (especially Josh-thanks Josh we loved your introduction!) we didn’t order lunch but saw what those who did were given and it looked very nice.
Our grandkids also loved it all! Thanks very much to all the crew and the skipper for taking us in close to the myriad waterfalls which had developed after the recent rain.
Special thanks to Josh for fishing out my husband’s hat when it went overboard. Ben was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his job !! Plenty of downtime to explore and a day full of activities.. the wineglass bay beach is an absolute must, there is a lot of steps on the way back up but it's worth every second. Beautiful views at the winery after and food to celebrate all our hard work.

The tour guide, Andrea, was really exceptional and he made the tour special. We are vegetarians and even then we could had decent options at each location.
If we had driven on our own, we would not have covered so many places and we would have been bogged down trying to arrange for stays and parking in each spot. UnderDownUnder tours seemed to provide the greatest tour for our needs, and at such a great price! I'm so glad we chose this. We had an amazing guide, Evan, who showed us so many things. He was incredibly knowledgeable and funny, and really knows his coffee! We were definitely the 'seniors' on the tour - three couples in their early 70's - but never felt segregated in any way. 'The Kids,' as we called them (all 20 and 30 somethings) were all so fun and interesting. We had great accommodations in each town we visited, and I know 'the kids' enjoy their hostel experiences as well. - RODEL C5 contributionsSara was hospitable and organized. This hiking tour is well planned out for the guests to enjoy a wonderful experience. Sara’s colleague is a movie celebrity, Jason Mamoa, who goes undercover by the name of Elliott, a wonderful chap that is a well built, strong local Tassie rugby player that made us feel protected and safe. I enjoyed his friendly, welcoming and the authentic local interaction from talking to him during the hike. Always love learning about the locals in my travels. All the best. It was raining pretty much constantly during our first two days (cradle mountain and wineglass bay) but we still had a good time, the views were awesome despite the rain and fog. We also got to see lots of wombats which are really cute.
The third day to Port Arthur is the only reason we didn't want to give the tour five stars. I wish we could spend more time in Port Arthur instead of the Unzoo (which was okay but unremarkable) and Richmond (lovely town but by the time we got there most shops have already closed). I went on this trip on my own as a solo backpacker and ended up in a group with older women. But I absolutely loved it.
The activities and hikes can be fitted to the group and their needs. I did all the long hikes on the tour, while the women did some shorter and easier walks.
The tour guide Tim was amazing and was able to answer all questions asked.
We got to see so much of the beautiful island, and learn about the culture and history.

Our tour guide, Hayden, was an excellent tour manager and knew when to avoid crowds, etc. He even arranged a group birthday dinner celebration which was quite the occasion!
