Really just a statue but if you are passing worth a quick selfie, a local celebrity and been a landmark for many years
Paycocke's House and Garden Coggeshall 8.3 km away
#1 of 4 Sights & Landmarks in Coggeshall
An excellent tea room and small shop on site.
Like many houses, its fortunes waxed and waned until it was put up for sale in 1904 with a view to demolition.

Tucked away in Essex countryside a 16th century tower house full of pleasant surprises, pretty views and relaxing tea room (lovely cake).
There is an interesting museum, a place to get tea and coffee and of course you need to go up all of the stairs to the top and sample the view, which is remarkable.

Regardless of your view on Christianity and/or religion (good/bad/indifferent), I do find churches very calming.
However you view this work of art it is amazing - the vision, the history of the Quaker movement, the designs or the actual stitching.

Boydells Dairy Farm Wethersfield 18.2 km away
#1 of 1 Sights & Landmarks in Wethersfield
There are toilets, baby changing and hand washing facilities on site and also a small gift shop selling some of the sheep's milk products such as cheese and frozen yoggipops.
There's nothing hyped up or pretentious about this place, it's not overpriced and the interaction with the animals means that it beats other, more expensive, farms hands down in my view.
