Bec is a really good guide. I thoroughly enjoyed her running commentary over the few days I travelled with her (1/2 day to AAOD and 3/4 day to Dinosaur Stampede). She’s extremely knowledgeable about the area, the geology, the wildlife, the palaeontology. She worked at the AAOD for many years before tour guiding for Red Dirt Tours. Her heart is absolutely in this area.

This tour with Red Dirt Tours is a must. Pickup and drop-off from Winton. The guide gives you the added insight to the area that you possibly would miss being independent. We were guided to each area of the exhibit ensuring we were present for the tour.

Very comfortable coach trip from Longreach, great driver, knowledgeable, plus so humorous. ( I think it was Duncan). The presentation was great, not rushed and those that could not see/ hear all were able to have this repeated. The Architecture blended in beautifully so as not to be obtrusive. So well planned. The views around the area were astounding, it was hard to believe that we were so high to achieve these views. Prior to this I had no idea that dinosours were ever even in Australia.

Set up on the top of a jump up is a must see in Winton. The dinosaur footprints, the canyon walk, the research lab and video were all excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable guides enhanced the experience. Great gift shop and cafe too

Jo was a great guide. The ranges were interesting; the views spectacular and the sunset incredible. A ‘must do’ if you’re in Winton

$210 total for family of 4 (2A 2C) for the full experience tour which includes everything including the laboratory, preparation, cinema room and shuttle bus to the dinosaur canyon.

We booked the first tour of the day which kept us busy until just after lunch. We could have stayed all day so the family ticket which is discounted by $40 offers good value for money I think.

Everyone enjoyed it and there is something for all ages.

Staff were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the whole dinosaur and fossil experience.

    Would recommend.

This is a relatively new attraction so we were not sure if it was worth the visit as there were no reviews yet.
    It was absolutely worth it.
Our family range from age 60’s down to 11 years and all of us were thrilled with our visit. The view of Saturn and it’s ring-through the telescope was a huge highlight for us all. You must go-it will not disappoint.

This was day 3 of our time with Red Dirt Tours and again our guide was Bec. She took us to Bladensberg National Park which included the Bladensberg homestead and shearing shed. This was of particular interest to us with my family having been graziers and running sheep. The whole thing brought back many dear memories of visits to the property and being involved with managing the sheep. We went further into the park to Scrammy gorge, Scrammy waterhole and Scrammy lookout, all are places you must see. Lots of wildlife, amazing trees, a beautiful gorge and beautiful views. We were sad that our stay was coming to a close.
