My kids really did think they were going to see a castle made of granite rocks (despite being told otherwise), so it wasn't what they were expecting, but they had a great time finding the Yeti, climbing to the lookout and exploring the caves. This is a great spot to visit with adventurous kids who love to explore, but who can be trusted not to get totally lost (some of those gaps were a bit skinny - lucky they got themselves out again!)

A stay at Ridgemill Estate at Stanthorpe is always great!
The owners and staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their wine, which is excellent.
The cabins are luxurious and some are pet friendly.
Thanks Ridgemill for another wonderful stay.

This place is magical. So much to look at. And hot chocolate was so good. Our group of friends loved feeding the animals, not just for kids!

Wonderful nature wonderland, if you like getting out and enjoying nature at her finest, then you will love Girraween National Park and all that granite belt has to offer.
With its own beauty and unique natural environment to explore, not like any that you may have seen before.
Lovely quaint restaurants and cafe's, typical of country towns.

Warren, the winemaker, is knowledgeable friendly and engaging. I learned a lot from him. His wines are great too, we bought a box, as did others from our group. The visit was one of the highlights of our stay near Stanthorpe and my favourite winery visit, ever! Highly recommended.

Located on the banks of Quart Pot Creek in Apex Park, this stone building has a wealth of information about Stanthorpe and the surrounding area.

My husband and I visited the centre during a visit to the region. We had previously purchased some Granite Belt Gourmet (GBG) condiments and sauces at a market and were looking to restock/add to our collection. We had little experience with truffles going into the place but after spending time with Ray (?) who was such a great host, we left knowing and appreciating truffle growing much more. We were able to enjoy complimentary truffle product and other GBG product tasting and learnt about truffle growing in Queensland and their role with the local farms, including training the dogs used to locate ripe truffles. Unfortunately, we weren’t there when they were running the dog demos but will try and visit again when these are running. We left with a big selection of GBG goodies, including the truffle dressing and truffle balsamic.

The entrance to the main Cellar Door and Restaurant of Kominos is awe inspiring for such quaint surroundings. We were greeted by Mary, one of the owners, who welcomes you with open arms, almost as kin. The degustation of wine on offer is truly delightful, from the smell, then tasted on your lips plus the gentle and friendly commentary from those who you feel you have known for years.
The wines on offer at Kominos are truly inspiring, especially given the weather adversity they have persisted through.
We will definitely be back for a longer lunch/visit sometime soon as the time we had, simply wasn't enough.
We look forward to seeing both you and Tony again at your exceptional Greek events to taste your beautifully and lovingly curated vineyard creations.
PS. For all you dog lovers out there - there's the world's most BEAUTIFUL border collie named Henry. Just go!

Best reds on the Granite Belt. Grant the wine maker, a retired chemical engineer, is meticulous. Premium wines so don't be put off by the price.

A good place to visit for a lovely Lavender scone and coffee. The Lavender wasn't flowering while we were there. Plenty of Lavender products for sale. A warning though, the drive from Stanthorpe is quite a long one, even crossing back into the good old state of NSW
