Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were holidaying in Mooloolaba and decided to take a bus trip to visit Nambour. The highlight of our visit was the Nambour & District Historical museum. What a gem! Not to be missed. The $5.00 entry fee was so worth it! There is so much to see that is beautifully organised into thematic rooms - kitchen, hospital, schoolroom, fire brigade, war memorial, matchstick models of ships and London bridge, children’s room, wedding dresses, and downstairs the amazing steam engines and tools on display. There was also an informative video explaining the history of the sugar cane industry and steam engines used for the cane transportation. The staff at the museum are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We can highly recommend a visit!

To get an overview my Husband and I drove up to the Dulong Lookout. It is a short distance from Nambour Hospital. I just googled "lookouts near me" when we had finished a bush walk near the Nambour Hospital. By reading the on-site historical info board at Dulong Lookout, we found the area to be historically important to the story of Nambour. Evidentially there was an extensive tramway track system that helped in moving timber, and supplies.

Such a great experience for the whole family! Very cost effective considering how much work would go into keeping such a beautiful place alive. Butterfly Hill uphold their mission statement about learning the life cycle of the butterfly, very educational we learnt a lot! After the tour we brought some butterfly wings for my daughter and she pretended to fly around the garden, she was having the best time! I ended up buying a few plants for my own garden to attract these beautiful creatures around my home 🥰 Definitely worth a visit!!

Took a photo with the big pineapple. We tried to park across the road and walk over the foot bridge but apparently you can’t do that any more. We had to swing across the traffic towing our van. There was plenty of space to park at the pineapple itself.

Paved pathway along Petrie Creek from Petrie Park to Carter Road, passing forest, waterfall, parks and the model railway. This side of Nambour is generally much nicer and quieter than the other parks, still gets the ubiquitous noisy automotive businesses but otherwise quite nice with some tables down by the creek.

I could have stayed for 24 hours (now that's an idea Vaughan ;)). I was there for only 2 and what a place! Can't believe this is on the Sunny Coast, just brilliant. Games well maintained, great variety, new selections, beer. OMG it's heaven for a pinball or arcade enthusiast. The pinball gods wish you a long life there ;).

I only see this place as a link from the station to the main street. It has the cinema upstairs (the lift is not working at the moment) and a basic cafe at the front, otherwise it has a dark courtyard and a smattering of businesses that I never see activity in.
