  • The ranking of tours, activities, and experiences available on Tripadvisor is determined by several factors including the revenue generated by Tripadvisor from these bookings, the frequency of user clicks, and the volume and quality of customer reviews. Occasionally, newly listed offerings may be prioritized and appear higher in the list. The specific placement of these new listings may vary.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was just an awesome full-day adventure. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids (12, 10)) all enjoyed this from start to finish!

The day started with an early pickup from our hotel in Port Douglas. Picked up a few other guests on the way to the river for the rafting/river drift part - I think we were 10 in all.

You only need your swimmers for the river drift - they provide wetsuits and neoprene boots (the water is cold). We did a short walk up the river with our awesome guides (Artemis and Scotty) while learning about the rainforest, then embarked on our float down the river - peaceful, serene, like we were on a different planet! We didn’t need anything on the river - the guides took plenty of photos that we were able to retrieve later digitally.

After the river drift, we went to a delicious local restaurant for lunch, then headed to Mossman Gorge Cultural Center for the afternoon rainforest walk. The walk was beautiful, and Artemis enriched the experience so much with her knowledge of the rainforest and its significance for local indigenous people. We got another chance to swim as well (the kids loved this part) before heading back to Port Douglas.

Overall just a fantastic day - beautiful, educational, and super fun! Would recommend this to anyone visiting tropical North Queensland - you will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful experience with Sacred Owl Tours! Rasa was friendly, knowledgeable, and a great guide overall. We loved spearing mud crabs, gathering periwinkles, and seeing crocodiles! The aboriginal digeridoo was a special treat. Thanks Rasa!

Highly,, highly recommended. We had an awesome day exploring the Mossman area in the most beautiful way. Bikes were top quality along with easy to follow maps provided on phones. All activities/tickets were organised for us in advance which made it a lovely stress free day. Highlights were the Mossman Gorge, The Australian chocolate farm and taking in the wonderful country including the endless sugarcane crops, the Shannonvale causeway swimming hole, riding through a passion fruit farm. A Dukes donut at Mossman is also a must😋
