Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Linn1002Barcelona, Spain7 contributionsDid my skydive in Mission Beach and it was one of the best things I have ever done! The crew was really friendly and made feel comfortable in preparation for my jump. The views are incredible, would highly recommend!Written 24 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As a fellow guest it was disappointing to see such a belated and scathing criticism of what I thought we all felt was a great trip.
The guides did a wonderful job of running the trip in quite difficult wind and weather conditions (I believe it was the last trip of the kayaking season).
I recall the problems that David had with his rudder. The guides managed to sort out the issue with a minimum of fuss as I remember.
I felt the standard of the food, consideration for safety, guiding expertise and overall enthusiasm of the staff were exemplary.
I would not hesitate to recommend Coral Sea Kayaking for this trip to anyone interested in this beautiful area.
I’m very surprised to discover that David seems to have taken a different view a year later.Written 20 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Simon was incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we had the necessary local information to boat carefully but with the flexibility to do essentially as we pleased. We cruised to the outer Family Islands, mooring at one (Bowden) for a little while for a swim and wander. Then a quick stop at the beautiful beach on Bedarra and then finally a much longer stop on Dunk to use their BBQs for our lunch. Whilst the facilities in Dunk were great, the beaches on the other islands were much nicer than the main beach at Dunk (at low tide - would have been nicer at high tide) and if the ride is on your side (rising) when at the outer islands, plan to spend more time there and less at Dunk, maybe packing a picnic lunch. We may have liked Dunk more if we'd also walked to Muggy Muggy Beach which in hindsight we should have done. All up, we can't recommend Simon and his boat hire more highly - his service was excellent and we had an awesome day out!Written 22 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Megan J5 contributionsThe staff were legends can’t praise them enough. Loved it so much that I’m doing it again. If you get the chance to go skydiving especially if it’s your first time (like me) do it at mission beach you won’t regret it 🤟🏼Written 22 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ram-ram-ram-ram-ramWaddington, UK67 contributionsAn absolute gentleman,
We had the pleasure of going out for a mornings fishing with Alister, the day after we hired a small boat from him.
His knowledge and most importantly his enthusiasm was a pleasure, ok my wife caught more fish, and I will never live that down.
But we can’t recommend this enough, even Suzanne his lovely wife complimented the activities with her kindness and genuine smile.Written 12 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
