Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely visit to Kuranda. Michael is a kind and accommodating guide who organized all our tickets and transportation, gave us the necessary information, and his jokes are second to none :) we enjoyed our visit to the rainforests and it was made very easy with Michael’s help. Thank you!

A fun day out, very well organised by Brett. He was a very entertaining and informative guide.

We did the cable car first then the scenic railway.

    Loved Koala World

Stunning views from both the cable car and train.

Tour was well planned and executed and lots of fun. Highlights were the scenic railway trip and butterfly gardens . Rainforestation park was also informative and interactive. It was a very pleasant day and tour operator was fantastic.

Was an amazing trip, definitely worth doing. The Barron falls was amazing to see from above and the reef was breathtaking.

Kuranda Scenic Railway is a great way to discover the native forest from Cairns. Train goes around the mountains and gives you a proper ideia of the climate, animals and vegetation. Is worth it the visit. The final stop is Kuranda where you have a small village where you can rent a boat and watch crocs by the fresh water, many shops and souvenirs places to buy gifts and local items. Amazing experience!

Amazing day out with Michael! Great communication all the way and he was right there waiting for us as soon as we got off the ship and also the train! He was a wealth of information every step of the way. Comfort drive and van and plenty of time for the ropeway, kuranda village and then the 2pm train. Don't think twice, book him now!

Unfortunately it was quite misty and cloudy so the view from the Skyrail was a bit disappointing, but the staff were so helpful and friendly, signage was very good, instructions for catching the train back were very clear. Kutandra was a cute place, the bird aviary was great. If you can, get the gold class on the train. The seats are comfortable and you drinks get nibblies and drinks. A very enjoyable day.

Far North Queensland is beautiful. And the three day pass was good value.

The trip to the reef was amazing and the snorkelling was a definite highlight.

Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge and the Daintree - also highlights.

Kuranda was a total disappointment. The train up and cable car back was interesting, but Kuranda was tired and completely tourist-driven. My pass meant I had to spend 4 hours there. After the firat 30 min, there wasn't much to see or do.

We went on the Grand Kuranda tour which was a well organised tour.
We were picked up at the scheduled time and transported to the train station where we boarded the scenic railway up to Kuranda. On arrival it was a short walk to the butterfly sanctuary which my kids loved. We were picked up and transported to the rainforeststation park for a cultural experience followed by buffet lunch of which there was plenty of food. We were able to squeeze in a koala photo which was a highlight for our daughter. A wander through the animal park was lovely. We were then back on the bus to the skyway station for the trip back down. The views up on the train and down on the skyway were spectacular and the standout for the day.

Really well organised. We paid a little extra for a prompt pick up from our hotel to transfer to the Smithfield terminal and a return coach back at 4pm. As we drove, we got a little tour guide of Cairns. The cable car ride stops at two areas - both give you the chance to see the rain forest close up and also the Barron River falls which are breathtaking. Kuranda is an interesting village with a variety of restaurants and shops- also we enjoyed the Koala Country attraction.
We allowed 6 hours all in and needed all that time - worth perhaps allowing a full day.

The Train up to Kuranda (and make sure you go to the Heritage Market there, allow 2 hours there and have Lunch) was fantastic. Do Gold Class it makes for a really special Trip and a wonderful and relaxing and comfortable way to see the region and that amazing waterfall (2 of). We loved this way more than the Cable Cars back but doing both is the way to go, Train first.

It was amazing. I don’t like heights but the Gondola up was so worth it and the staff were efficient and reassuring. I preferred the sky rail to the gondola but I would recommend you do both. The stops to get off and walk to view the waterfall were great as well.
