- Greg H1 contributionThis tour was one of the highlights of my Australia trip. Michael was an excellent host, organized, punctual, knowledgeable and efficient. I hadn't originally signed up for the Skyrail portion but Michael suggested I add it in and I'm so glad I did, it was amazing. I've been traveling in Australia for 6 weeks and taken a number of tours. This was the absolute best for value and well worth it. - Bob B1 contributionThis tour far exceeded our expectations. The opportunity to visit this area with such rich agricultural and historic significance is not to be missed. Dale was a knowledgeable and relaxed guide and we never once felt pressured to rush through the stops.
Each stop offered a tasting experience with wonderful local food, coffee, wine and spirits. We loved the chance to spot some happy little platypus and the final stop was such a relaxed and beautiful way to end our big day.

The railway is a very long, old train and passes waterfalls and other very scenic route.

Scenery all along the way was beautiful and once we arrived at Kuranda we spent some fascinating time at the Butterfly Sanctuary. We then went on the duck boat ride through the rainforest area. Following that we went to an aboriginal dance performance and then we were introduced to the traditional boomerang and each of us were given a chance to try throwing it after a lesson. We had the buffet lunch which was optional and very good. Following the performance we went to the Wildlife Area where we saw a nice collection of Australian creatures. Even with the rough weather, we enjoyed our time out there. While we saw some beautiful sights and had an excellent lunch on the Daintree Tour, our small group tour exceeded the stated 14 people and the extra pick up and drop offs (as well as time needed to herd 21 people about) made for a less than perfect experience. The train/sky rail to and from Kuranda are breathtaking.
