Brilliant and pretty easy walk to the top- beautiful views. Easy to get to via bus. And can loop round to the start or back via horseshoe bay. About 10k steps and we saw koalas!! (Look out for arrows on the paths which point to koalas)

We had a great time looking for the rock wallabies. We brought carrots (cut in pieces). At the end of the afternoon it was pretty quiet. The wallabies were too cute eating the food out of our hands.

Challenging but rewarding hike- too longer than expected and we are both young and fit used to hiking. Would recommend you take a compression bandage if you have one as we saw a few snakes on the pathways and it’s very remote so time++ to get help if you’re in the middle of the track. That being said they are most likely to leave you alone! It was a good enjoyable hike with some great views!

We are hikers and occasional swimmers so we went on more of a walking trip. Plenty to do here from waterskiing, diving, snorkeling, cruises to dining and enjoying the view, to checking out the walking tracks.

A bus takes you around town if you didn’t take a car but be wary at the ferry stop it takes a good 20min for all the tourists to get on and pay. About 4-8 dollars for a whole day trip depending on the day of week. Cars scooters and motorbikes for hire.

I went to West Point after a day of showers, so the road was wet, potholes were full of mud and water - great for a 4x4 (don't need to engage 4x4, just a bigger car as some of the dips and potholes were deep). Some of the dips were like little creek crossings. Signs say 'No Hire Cars Beyond This Point', but if you have your own vehicle its fine to drive down. A tour guide said that this was a great spot for sunsets, but the day I went there the cloud cover was still pretty bad, so didn't see a lot. Went for a nice walk though. Not very busy and very peaceful. If you have to walk the track to get there, unless you like walking, its not really worth the 10km walk.

Quick 15min walk down a sealed road. It’s steep and no vehicle access but it’s a short walk with fantastic rewards.
Grea swimming, typically quiet with most people stopping in just to look before moving on again.
There is a toilet, but no other facilities

Sheltered beach and popular. Beautiful area to have a sit and morning tea or lunch in some shade before a lovely swim.

Really nice beach, it's an awkward walk to get there and back so be prepared. Well worth it though, bring water on the walk

Good gradient with regular stop off platforms to admire the views. Built securely with a surface that permits pets to walk without burning their feet.
    Great construction.

The beach is lovely, with good shade. The walk via horseshoe bay is hard on the knees and ankles… quite rugged. Easier walk is from forts car park via Arthur and Florence bays

Don’t expect any shops or amenities nearby but this place is serene and secluded. You can complete a walking trail from horseshoe bay or forts to here but it’s only for the able bodied. The road up to here is partly closed off so a bit of a walk that way too

Like stepping into a Time Machine and experiencing lost worlds. From Ancient Greek artefacts to Qing Dynasty engravings to Australian indigenous Dreamtime pieces. My highlight on Magnetic Island.
