Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The white sand and clear water here is amazing. It's also a very safe beach, unlike some others in the Esperance area. One real advantage of this each over many others is that it has toilets and showers. It's very popular though, so expect lots of other people here too.

The scenery on this drive rivals the Great Ocean Road, VIC. Spectacular. The sand is white, water crystal clear and turquoise. I think I have found the best beaches I have ever seen.

Best enjoyed on a sunny day for sure. This walk isn't smooth, because there are stairs in several places, and gravel and rocks with slope. But it's a wonderful walk, and the views are spectacular.

We also did the longer separate walk to Lovers Beach, which took about 30 minutes return. It's not well signed, but the beach is gorgeous, and we had the place to ourselves.

What a stunning beach! It's a bit more out of the way, but every bit as good as Twilight Beach.

The view from the car park is stunning. There's quite a set of steps to go down, but it's worthwhile.

Beautiful clear water for swimming, and well-protected. Loved walking along the rocks alongside the beach.

We walked from the Taylor Street precinct to the jetty and back in what is a modern, landscaped development suited to outdoor activities. Plenty of good walking paths, various historic elements, interesting flora and a fair bit of varied birdlife.

A very pleasant walk and a good way to enjoy a couple of hours of exercise.

The lady in here was very helpful, but at the time of us visiting a few of the places were shut. Common everywhere is the lack of volunteers at the moment.

Absolutely amazing beach. Just as beautiful as those in Cape Le Grande National Park. And we were all by ourselves. Perfect

Driving on Twilight Rd, approximately 12km from Esperance, you will find the detour to Observatory Point Rd. A steep asphalted descent at the end of which there is a large car park. On the right there is a wooden staircase that leads to the top of the dune where there is a small platform with a bench. This is the Observatory point from which you have an excellent view of the Observatory Beach, the high coast in the direction of Esperance and the small islands located in front of the cape. Looking west you can also see some of the large wind turbines on the top of the cliff. A great place to take pictures. This interesting visit that can be integrated by going down the really long wooden staircase that, located on the opposite side of the car park, leads to very nice Observatory Beach.

On Twilight Beach Rd there is the detour to the Salmon Beach car park. After about 20m on the right is the Salmon Beach car park. Alternatively, you can proceed to the left (the road to Blue Haven) but, proceeding straight to the end of the road (about 250 m) there is a small car park. From both car parks you go down to the beach using a wooden staircase (the staircase of the second car park is very short). The presence of a long stretch of flat rocks on the both sides of the bay makes this place a top spot for fishermen. Although the sea is crystal clear, this beach appears suitable for swimming only on days of calm sea in fact it is certainly open to the waves and there are sections with rocks. The north end looks better for bathing.

An attractive addition to the foreshore. Nice to look at and kids seem to love climbing on it. Good photo op too. Worth a look if you're in town.

Located about 8km out of town, tis nature reserve is well worth a visit.

It is an excellent volunteer-run reserve featuring a lake and wetlands, boardwalks, a banksia “forest” for want of a better description and prolific birdlife in flowering trees and bushes. A wonderful experience well worth a visit of several hours.
