Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The scenery on this drive rivals the Great Ocean Road, VIC. Spectacular. The sand is white, water crystal clear and turquoise. I think I have found the best beaches I have ever seen.

I thought this site would be a bit touristy and tacky but the story behind it was quite interesting. Not really cheap to get in but as you enter the lady gives a talk on the building etc of Stonehenge and then you can go through and walk through the complete replica of the UK Stonehenge.
Worth a visit if you are in the area. It is on the way to Cape Le Grand NP.

If you enjoy a bit of a challenge, this is definitely worthwhile. From start to finish took us about an hour, which included 30 min for the ascent, 15 min up top, and 15 min descent. Probably allow 90 minutes.

It's pretty steep though, so you need to be reasonably fit, and we saw a number of people really struggling. I wouldn't come here in wet conditions though - too slippery and dangerous.

Views from up top weren't that great when we visited (too hazy), but you can see the ocean. The huge cave near the top was also really neat to explore.

Driving on Twilight Rd, approximately 12km from Esperance, you will find the detour to Observatory Point Rd. A steep asphalted descent at the end of which there is a large car park. On the right there is a wooden staircase that leads to the top of the dune where there is a small platform with a bench. This is the Observatory point from which you have an excellent view of the Observatory Beach, the high coast in the direction of Esperance and the small islands located in front of the cape. Looking west you can also see some of the large wind turbines on the top of the cliff. A great place to take pictures. This interesting visit that can be integrated by going down the really long wooden staircase that, located on the opposite side of the car park, leads to very nice Observatory Beach.

An attractive addition to the foreshore. Nice to look at and kids seem to love climbing on it. Good photo op too. Worth a look if you're in town.

The scenery along the beach is more interesting than the beach itself. There are trees half submerged in the water which make a very good photo opportunity, the drive is quite pleasant and engaging.

The clocktower is interesting and so is the area around the clocktower. Take the time to wander and read the different information boards.

Clearly this is a very popular place, especially for fishing. It's well looked after, and every week the jetty gets spray washed (we spoke to the guy who was doing it). Nice signage, and lots of space for people to enjoy the jetty. Even worthwhile just for a walk to the end and back.

There are Beam e-scooters that park along the esplanade available to hire that could be rode along the esplanade. A fun family activity.

Just a short walk from the car park is an information board and you can walk to the base of the windmills. There are some great views too.

In a prominent location and beautiful setting, Esperance RSL Memorial Park brings together several components.

There is the Memorial itself that dominates the corners of Dempster and James Streets. The white monument differs from many others in that is features a coloured wreath and also a coloured Australian flag draped over the top of the column. The red concrete base draws attention to the plinth and column. The plantings of Norfolk Pines form a dramatic backdrop.

Other features include the RSL Clubrooms in a standalone cottage style building, the Australian Army Leopard AS1 tank with connections to the Vietnam War and a magnificent mural on a nearby wall. The mural depicts a charge of the Australian Light Horse Brigade in World War 1 to secure the wells of Beersheba in what is now Israel. The mood, action, vibrancy and colours of the mural is outstanding. The artist Graeme Miles Richards is to be commended on such a worthy work of art.

Tying these components together are well kept and manicured lawns and walkways. For a visit to see the memorial or for a great rest stop, it is well worth a visit. Toilet facilities and car parking are available nearby.

Michaela at Doggy Wellness is an amazing warm bubbly person who has a beautiful way with dogs. Our dog Mr Biggles loves his monthly grooming and haircut every 3 months with her. He has been attending Michaela's service for almost 10 years now, and more recently a Reiki healing session, a new and beautiful service she now also provides which I feel helped him greatly being an older dog who has displayed a little anxiety in the past year or so.
Mr Biggles is a huge part of our family and we want only the best for him. Being a house dog, Michaela's monthly service ensures he is healthy, clean, worm & flea free and extremely good value for money.
We trust Michaela 100% and appreciate all the advice she has shared with us over the years, with tips and advice about his allergies, to putting a coat on him for the first night after a haircut so that he can adjust to the transition from long coat to short, she has the answers.
We highly recommend Michaela at Doggy Wellness, 53 The Esplanade, Esperance, WA 6450
