What travellers are saying
- Jessie_192Bateau Bay, Australia69 contributionsPlease include Chateau Tanunda on your visit to the Barossa! We popped in and were fortunate to be seated for a tasting, after a wander through the cellar door. Larry was a wonderful host, informative and professional, very friendly.
The wines were incredible, we could have purchased most of them but the Grenache in particular was gorgeous. Make time for a wander through the grounds, it’s very special.Written 24 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nahum shared his extensive knowledge unpretentiously and with much humour. He was brilliant.

Langmeil vineyards have the oldest Shiraz grapevines in Barossa and the world.

The location was lovely and the views stunning with the history of the Winery and the work that went into creating a simply great place. A special mention to the staff as they are very helpful and know so much about the Pindarie Winery. It was my wife's Birthday and our first visit but definitely not our last. Thanks again for a great lunch.Written 26 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Michelle REngadine, Australia399 contributionsWe had no intention of visiting a winery while in Tanunda but we were close by Peter Lehmann Winery so decided to spend a day out there. What a wonderful experience. The grounds are lovely and it was mid week so hardly any people there. Plenty of room to park and the grounds and gardens are beautiful. We had a wander around inside and read the history of the winery then ordered a couple of drinks and a lovely platter and sat outside under the vines to enjoy our food and drink and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Highly recommend spending a morning or afternoon here just relaxing with a couple of drinks and a lovely platter.Written 3 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great lunch and wine @ Yalumba + cycled for tastings @ other vineyards and sampled at chocolate factory. Great food at 1918 bistro. Brilliant Air BnB Rogasch cottage on vineyard near centre of town, best we’ve ever stayed in !! - BransaWAWA13 contributionsMy wife and I visited many wineries during our Barossa trip but Charles Melton Winery was an absolute stand out. Small and quaint we sat out in the back veranda over looking the vines to complete our wine tasting. As with most wineries in the area you pay for the tastings but totally worth it. Our host Leandra was brilliant. Extremely knowledgeable and just a lovely person. We also had the privilege of meeting the owners Virginia and Charlie. This is a small family run vineyard with outstanding wines and is an absolute must visit if your in the Barossa. I’m now a big fan :)Written 29 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- elizabeth PMelbourne, Australia38 contributionsSam... you deserve a promotion or atleast a pay rise! When you rock up to a venue as a group of 15 (8 of those kids) most people frown, Sam welcomed us into the venue and gave the kids their only little hideout....AND provided them with snacks and activities to entertain them while we sampled what she had to offer us Adults.
When your kids walk away from a venue and say can we go back their, you know your doing something right so we'll done guys.
The Fav of the day was the Tawny. We came away very knowledgeable... or atleast we like to hope our spongy brains absorbed everything Sam had to tell us.
Don't hesitate to being the kids.. Sams got it all down pat!
Fantastic value for money, tastings per great Vale and bloody tasty with a wonderful back story of a small family business.
Well done to All of you.Written 9 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
